Create ThreatFire.reg with Notepad
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"TFTray"="C:\\Program Files\\ThreatFire\\TFTray.exe"
Insure that you have one blank line at the end and that the file extension is .reg and not .txt then right click on the .reg file and choose Merge.
I find it really weird that ThreatFire does not have an option to Start With Windows
I'm not going to try it

In other words the Pro version is the one that works and the FREE version is a demo.
My introduction into adware removal was the first release of Ad-Aware ages ago back in 2000 I believe and it really help to clean up my then infested system.
Now I find that all it does is find a few tracking cookies that I want to keep and to nag me into purchasing the Pro version.
I like ME and still use it.
It will be about 6 months before I can afford a Vista capable system as I have just completed my tax return and I owe almost $700.00
I like avast! and run it on both of my XP systems.
The XP Home system is a 2.4GHZ P4 512MB RAM and is a bit slow.
The XP Pro system is a 2.8GHZ P4 760MB RAM and is quite fast but I think that it is because the hard drive is faster.
256MB RAM is quite low to run XP and RAM is quite inexpensive right now at $28.99 for a 512MB RAM upgrade:

There are other places to buy RAM but Crucial's scanner will let you know what type of RAM you need.
It does take a long time to load for me as well but I only run it after I see that the definitions have been updated.
I'm a LEVEL #3 kinda guy.
If you are not living on the edge then you're taking up too much room.
Gets me in trouble sometimes though.

Wow! Almost $17,000.00
I bought the '71 R75 for $2,400 then and you could by a VW bug for the same price.
I think that $17,000.00 is about the price of a second hand VW if you can find one.
