Sounds like you have a corrupt recycle bin. https://pureinfotech.com/fix-recycle-bin-windows-10/

  6. Did you make a back up of the registry when CCleaner offered you the option to do so?
  7. We don't give spyware/malware removal help here anymore. See item 10 here. https://community.ccleaner.com/announcement/15-forum-rules/ You might also want to have a read here (just for more info only) https://www.2-spyware.com/remove-akamaihd.html
  8. Did you use the registry cleaner part of CCleaner?
  9. I don't have sleep or hibernate enabled either. nukecad you are making it sound as though it is a waste of time turning off fast start-up... it isn't. It solves lots of issues. And I'm not confused.... turning off fast start up is a good idea.
  10. If you turn off Fast Start-up it won't happen again because every shut down then operates the way it used do in previous Windows versions, in other words it really shuts down. It's one of the first things I do on my machines.

  12. What version of Windows 10 and CCleaner are you using? As nergal says, it is compatible, I am typing this in Win 10 and have CCleaner installed.
  13. Personal preference... I am not keen on running Malwarebytes in real-time (paid) I find it too aggressive. The free version is enough for me.
  14. Started happening today, see here https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-7-users-suddenly-cant-shut-down-their-pcs-how-to-fix/
