  2. Do you mean this page doesn't work? https://www.ccleaner.com/lost-password
  3. Well it's getting better. The builds page is now in Italian EDIT... It's now in English and all sites and downloads seem to be working.
  4. I will try to find out what is happening using Vivaldi using Win 10 19041.572. This is what I see on the CCleaner builds page. https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds
  5. I can assure you that I have in no way patronised you, I have done everything I could to try and help you. When you asked the questions you did above I assumed that it was because your knowledge of computers was not as good as you say it is. The video I linked to did explain things quite well. I will leave it to you now.
  6. There were some Win Updates yesterday. Can you just have a quick check to see what build of Win 10 you have? Mine is 19041.572. You can find out yours by clicking the Start flag bottom left once, and immediately type the word winver and click on what comes up. (you don't need to type the word into a box it does it all automagically for yo)
  7. I don't know what happened to your machine, all I know is what you tell me, that is CC will work with a new profile and not the one you have now. You are copying your files and user docs over not yourself (if you know what I mean) I understand if you feel it is too big of a jump for you to want to take.
  8. This video tells you. Note to only move things over to the new account that you need. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LsnAQvMKSE I would hope that you have some kind of system image in place before doing this, and checked that the new user account you made is working okay.
  9. It's tricky when the machine is not in front of you Because CC works when you run it from a new user it's obviously something to do with the user account that you have now. One way would be to copy your user profile documents to your new user. EDIT.. Did you use a new download of CC to test it with?
  10. File permissions are what says who can do what with a file. What access rights they have with files, and the permissions they have with them. That piece of software (Windows Repair) puts the file permissions that your user account has screwed up back into order. You can just select to do only that using the tool as shown in that video I linked to.
  11. File permissions can get mixed up sometimes. We'll never know how it happened. It is not uncommon.
  12. You can always run Tweaking.com Windows Repair (the free version). It is a well know piece of software. Boot into Safe Mode and elect the preset for File Permissions if that's all the issue seems to be. https://www.tweaking.com/content/page/windows_repair_all_in_one.html This will give you an idea of what the program can do, so it should help to watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuloJRoNc_M&feature=youtu.be
  13. It could be that the permissions on your user are a bit mixed up. Are you able to make a new user and run CCleaner from it? You can just delete the new user after the test. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/create-new-user-account-in-windows-vista-7/
  14. Thought I'd just add this I found for info https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Redirections
  15. Have you checked in taskmanager to see if anything from CCleaner is listed there either when you are running it, or even when you are not. Do you have any other users on the machine that you could try running CCleaner from ?
  16. No need to turn off MSE perhaps. as poster has said it doesn't run in safe mode. MSE doesn't run in safe mode.
  17. @Dave CCleaner Yours to deal with I think.
