  10. That would be real hard as it would be just as hard to remove Explore.exe as IEexplore.exe because they are the foundation of Windows. If you meant IE usage would be non existent in short order then that statement might make a bit more sense.

  12. hazelnut, thanks for that tip as it really speeded up my 'right click New' on the Desktop as I found what application that I installed slowed it down. I un-installed the application as I did not like it much and now the 'right click New' pops up instantaneously.

  15. Turn off the mini-download manager and don't have the icon show and you'll never know.
  16. It was a 324MB download and after about 10 minutes of installing it failed with Permission Failure running as Administrator on my XP Pro system.
  17. I don't find Windows Search slows down much. I did a search on jpg files and it found 1399 objects in less than 5 seconds.
