Necessary index.dat files always will be recreated upon Windows reboot. The desktop.ini files are only needed if you do customization on that Folder.

In the Folder containg the reg file then go to Tools then Folder Options then File Types and scroll down to REG then click Advanced then you can alter what is displayed in the right-click menu

I have not had a problem with any release of CCleaner hurting my 3 systems

After I use Add/Remove Programs to un-install applications then reboot to let the un-install complete to remove in-use files I run RegSeeker Clean the Registry function to find and remove extraneous entries then I use NTREGOPT to optimize the registry.

I got into Transcendental Meditation for quite a while fairly heavily when I was escaping my Mary Jane time and it worked well in fact I do it now quite easily and move into a quiet time in my mind even with the TV on playing some mindless adverts
