  2. Win98 is an obsolete operating system and MS has not released an update in several years and it is very vulnerable to many malware infections.

I am watching the Canadian National Geographic channel and they have a story about a tour on the biggest cruse ship and one of the stories was one of a complaint of a customer about the microwave not working in the state room and the customer got very angry so one of the staff went to investigate and found that the customer was trying to warm up some bread in the safe I did not catch if the customer was a blond lady or confused man
  7. I'm impressed DasFox that you need to go to that length to eradicate stuff like that and have a system that does not take ages to complete the task. You must have a cushy job somewhere in the CIA, FBI or KGB or afraid that your copied MP3s might get leaked to the RIAA

  14. I like and use RegSeeker to find and remove useless registry entries then NTREGOPT to compact the registry. They usually find some registry entries to remove after an un-install and then a compact run usually finds 2% compaction then a reboot is definitely recommended.

I guess working on computers since '66 helps. I used to be able to drink large quantities of beer ( one of the requirements while attending university ) but now it gives me heartburn, flatulance and diarrhea
