I find that Index.dat Suite removes the extra index.dat files that are created on a Windows install. Windows always recreates the needed index.dat files at every reboot.

All of those sites work fine for me. By the way, implementing the OpenDNS service configuration killed my Internet connectivity. I used to have that problem with my previous ISP and his solution was always Reload Your operating system software because its not a problem on our end At the time I was running WinXP Home on one system and a ThinkPad with WinME and they both failed the same way One day when I could not connect to the Internet they said that my service had been suspended for spamming ( they could not produce any evidence of this but that a user had complained about me ) I called up Bell Sympatico and they had me up and running the next day and I have been with them ever since and happy with their service and Technical support.

That would make a good plot for Bart in The Simpsons

It is the criminal element that has learned that instead of importing illegal drugs and risking long prison terms they can build their own malware and even purchase Off-The-Shelf malware quite cheaply to pollute the Internet with their money making stuff through their vast array of spambots that either infect un-patched systems or lure marks with promises of FREA STUFF that can be downloaded to do Kewl things.

It has an Auto logon function that works for the next session only. It is only available in WinXP Pro.

That would make one heck of a lot of Euchre decks. Is that in the Guinness Book Of Records? ( GBOR) By the way, I read that the GBOR is moving to Niagara Falls as it has a big presence there.

I installed REVO and its just a pretty un-installer. It does not insure that all registry entries are removed like RegSeeker nor does it optimize the registry like NTREGOPT. It has not caused me any problems on my WinME/XP Home/WinXP Pro systems. I never indicated that all Reg. Cleaners are OK only that RegSeeker and CCleaner's cleaners are OK. I don't have any flavor of Vista so I can't comment on the "fix"ability of any registry cleaner.

hesten, welcome. What operating system are you using? I have an IBM ThinkCentre system running WinXP Pro SP3 and it has IBM Access software installed but I don't find it very useful as it does not have an enhanced ThinkCentre keyboard with its extra keys. I don't have Adobe Reader installed as I find that FoxIt Reader much faster for the few PDF files I have. What other other helpful tools are you missing?
