  1. I see you have also posted in the hijack this log section. That is the BEST thing to do as a qualified spyware mod will help you.. Post a log by following the instuctions given here http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=1720
  2. That's worked, and the originals are still there Thanks
  3. I have used Picasa for quite a while now. In the last month I have also used the computer for saving POI's (points of interest for satellite navigation systems for cars) On looking today in Picasa I see that all the .bmp's which show up on the sat nav screen are saved in picasa. I deleted the folder and checked in my Garmin sat nav folder and they were gone, so I had to restore them from the recycle bin. How can I stop them from going in Picasa or at least delete them without losing the originals?

    RocketDock

Just worked that out mps 69 !! Also did a search on that forum before download but it seems to be more into answering specific questions and I couldn't find a " how to set up rk launcher without having to ask at ccleaner forums" section

    RocketDock

I think I may have done something wrong here. Downloaded the latest nightly build of rk launcher as suggested. It is welded to the taskbar and I cannot figure out how to move it or do much else to it as there are no faq's or help me file in the folder. Also it is not in add and remove nor does it have an uninstall in the folder. Any help would be appreciated or point me to some faq's.

    RocketDock

After seeing some of the great desktops of forum members here, thought I'd try out RocketDock. Downloaded, set it up how I wanted and then I went online and that's when problems started. In opera everything kept flickering, mouse control was difficult and pages seemed to do what they wanted.Thinking it may have been an opera thing switched over to IE7 - BIG mistake!! It froze, and then it seemed like 100's of pages were trying to load. Ctrl-alt-delete wouln't work so in the end I had to button it off. Turned it back on, checkdisc ran, it fixed some things and then I quickly uninstalled Rocketdock. All was straight back to normal. ( NO spyware - did all checks) Has anyone any idea what happened here as I really liked to idea of Rocketdock or something similar. XP Home. Ccleaner

    See this old thread http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=5824
  8. Welcome to the forum, as you mentioned, ccleaner gives the option to make a backup in the issues section. Use this option if you are unsure or nervous and then in the unlikely event of something going wrong ( and mine never has) just double click the ccleaner backup and select merge.

    Ccleaner

Franky if you install the new version over the top of your present one ( that is do not uninstall the old one first) it will automatically save all your settings
  10. This is the latest version ( however I have heard update 10 will be about in awhile) http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp windows offline installation is the one I use. Problems can arise when people have outdated versions which can be used by nasties to install malware, that may have been what you read about.
  11. Hello rob8urcakes and welcome to the forum First piriform are the developers of ccleaner so I suppose the are entitled to your donation! You may even have malware problems, and a hijack this log in the relevent part of this forum may be an idea. Instructions on how to do this are here http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=1720

  22. I was just reading about this yesterday and someone used this for p2p long file names and it worked for them ( the free version they used) http://www.purgeie.com/delinv/index.htm of course there is always my favourite unlocker which most people use http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ and this tip below I got from annoyances. org, >To delete the file just right click on the folder above the very last folder you >wish too delete and click on RENAME.Proceed to rename the folder and then delete >that folder and you will have deleted the last 2 folders of that annoying mess you >were in.You can delete all other folders from the very first folder with no problem.I >had a folder with over a 100 embedded folders within with same name(dayum).Funny >but that was the name of all of the folders Let us know how you get on
