  1. Why do you keep posting threads about f-secure? You have already posted today http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showto...amp;#entry56169 quoting a thread that is over 1 year old so you could mention f-secure.
  2. In West Yorkshire (see under avatar) where it has been wet and windy as in Scotland, but still I think you have to agree it's warm for December. I feel a bit sorry for kids in the UK now, when I was a kid we were well versed in the art of building snow brick walls using our Dad's spades, we then made 100's of snowballs and piled them up and when they were nice, hard and icy we would have lethal snowball fights with the next street. Ahhhh! those were the days!!!
  3. Strange thing to do, quote a post over a year old.
  4. This thread here is where I found out about and downloaded the hosts file. http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showto...mp;hl=host+file
  5. It's unseasonably warm over here in the UK. In fact the spring daffodils and snowdrops are just starting to push through the ground.
  6. You aren't the only one who feels like this about netzero Cowboy, or gets kicked off or freezes http://www.isprank.com/ShowReviews.aspx?id...CookieSupport=1 I assume you have seen this also http://www.untd.com/advertisers/media_kit/...rod_direct.html Keep smiling Cowboy
  7. Have a look here on Kelly's Korner, choose the letter R at the top and scroll down to recycle bin http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm Welcome to the forum by the way
  8. Okay, some explainations please from members in the US. Why all the happy holiday season remarks? Just how long do these holidays last? I thought Thanksgiving was just a weekend? I will have just 2 days off for xmas, and 1 day for new year, and NONE up until then!!
  9. You could always try out some ideas from this thread http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.p...743a60512fd00d8

Given that there have been no updates for just over a year now, is this app still worth keeping? I already have avg antispy, superantisyware, spywareblaster and spybot.
  11. Please post a hijackthis log in the part of the forum that deals with the analysis of them. Instuctions on how to do a log are here http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=1720
  12. See this very old thread here, http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=5824 Stopzilla has already been mentioned on the forum again here this month for this. Also when I went to the stopzilla site to contact someone my browser opera said that Stopzilla use an short public encryption key which is considered insecure. Strange for a security application.
  13. The latest version does NOT contain spyware however some virus/malware programs have detected false postives in the installer. Can you post what was supposed to have been found, and what found it. Also where you downloaded from. Welcome to the forum by the way
  14. Also see here under folders on kelly's korner fixes, apparently windows only remembers 400 folder views then things start to go wrong. http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm
  15. Just had a look at my folder options and I have "show hidden files and folders" selected- no problem. What is your operating system? Show hidden files and folders does not work for you, have you had any viruses or malware lately? All scans okay? Any other problems? P.S Welcome to the forum
  16. Vigron, you can always go to add and remove programs in your control panel and uninstall the yahoo toolbar from there.
  17. Welcome to the forum Vigron You must be using the standard build, use the slim build from here, it has no toolbar http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds.aspx
  18. Hello etard and welcome to the forum. CCleaner is not for getting rid of viruses or popups. To get help with your problem, do a hijackthis log and post it in the hijackthis log analysis part of the forum. Instructions on how to do one are here http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=1720

Thank you John, I now have rk launcher set up and moved. Sometimes it would be nice if just a few instuctions were there on the download page. Still I don't mind making myself look an idiot by asking !!
  20. I see you have also posted in the hijack this log section. That is the BEST thing to do as a qualified spyware mod will help you.. Post a log by following the instuctions given here http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=1720
  21. That's worked, and the originals are still there Thanks
  22. I have used Picasa for quite a while now. In the last month I have also used the computer for saving POI's (points of interest for satellite navigation systems for cars) On looking today in Picasa I see that all the .bmp's which show up on the sat nav screen are saved in picasa. I deleted the folder and checked in my Garmin sat nav folder and they were gone, so I had to restore them from the recycle bin. How can I stop them from going in Picasa or at least delete them without losing the originals?

Just worked that out mps 69 !! Also did a search on that forum before download but it seems to be more into answering specific questions and I couldn't find a " how to set up rk launcher without having to ask at ccleaner forums" section

    RocketDock

I think I may have done something wrong here. Downloaded the latest nightly build of rk launcher as suggested. It is welded to the taskbar and I cannot figure out how to move it or do much else to it as there are no faq's or help me file in the folder. Also it is not in add and remove nor does it have an uninstall in the folder. Any help would be appreciated or point me to some faq's.

    RocketDock

After seeing some of the great desktops of forum members here, thought I'd try out RocketDock. Downloaded, set it up how I wanted and then I went online and that's when problems started. In opera everything kept flickering, mouse control was difficult and pages seemed to do what they wanted.Thinking it may have been an opera thing switched over to IE7 - BIG mistake!! It froze, and then it seemed like 100's of pages were trying to load. Ctrl-alt-delete wouln't work so in the end I had to button it off. Turned it back on, checkdisc ran, it fixed some things and then I quickly uninstalled Rocketdock. All was straight back to normal. ( NO spyware - did all checks) Has anyone any idea what happened here as I really liked to idea of Rocketdock or something similar. XP Home.
