Interesting that you should mention FD-ISR Humpty. I have had it on my system for a month or so and it has really changed the way I use my computer. I can test things, mess things up even and then just update to my other snapshot in a minute and my problem is gone as if it never existed. Wouldn't be without it now.

What happens to skype if you don't run ccleaner at startup? If it is okay, this may have to be your workaround for now.

You do not upload the hjt log from your system, just highlight the log, right-click and choose copy, go to your hjt log post, right-click and choose paste. it will then copy your log to your post.

After the forum upgrade I couldn't even access the forum. The only thing which got me back here was clicking on the "you have been added to a friends list" email from rridgely.

Ed, When you open ccleaner do you see the applications tab shown here? http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour/?3 When you click on that applications tab does it show firefox, with check boxes for, cookies, internet cache, and internet history right at the top?

I found out that's what happens if you use the advanced mode, using standard it only asks the once.

Dennis, in C\Windows\I386 file, when you hover the mouse over it, what size does it say it is? Mine says 490MB. The bit my post was refering to is that when asked to insert a windows CD to do scannow for instance, I don't need to put the disc in, instead if asked, you browse to the I386 file, windows will remember this, and not ask you again for the disk as you have told it that it already has the files it needs to do this on the computer.

Hello Sandie and welcome You don't ever need to download the yahoo toolbar only to have to delete it afterwards, just download the slim version here http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds.aspx Perhaps you could try uninstalling ccleaner and downloading the slim version and see if that helps you, if not please let us know.

simalarion, Just to clear things up, 1. Have you used another version of ccleaner before without problems? 2. Do you have the icon on your desktop but that's as far as you can get, you click the icon and nothing happens? 3. You can open ccleaner up but nothing ever happens when you press analyze etc.? 4. Everything just freezes when you try to use ccleaner?

Hello Dazed, Is it unifish 3.exe? A search revealed perhaps something to do with Typhoon games software, or possibly spyware. If you have noticed any problems it could be an idea to post a log in the hijackthis log analysis part of the forum.
