JDPower
This application is a trusty and non-aggressive Registry Cleaner. Not sure I'd agree with the non-aggressive comment. Just tried it on my system after a Reg Mechanic clean and it found 298 entries. In comparison Regseeker finds 170. Seems fairly aggressive to me, though having said that it seems like an ok program (not a keeper for me though)
Moderators Andavari Posted August 25, 2007 Moderators Share Posted August 25, 2007 Not sure I'd agree with the non-aggressive comment. Just tried it on my system after a Reg Mechanic clean and it found 298 entries. In comparison Regseeker finds 170. Seems fairly aggressive to me, though having said that it seems like an ok program (not a keeper for me though) I agree with everything you've stated. It found 352 entries on my system and much of it shouldn't be messed with unless someone likes reinstalling software, or possibly Windows. My main gripe about the program is that you can NOT exclude an item on the "invalid" list it has. Instead the exclude list is buried in some other sub-menu, and has to have items entered manually (what a time consuming pain in the ass), it's rather counter productive especially when someone is dealing with hundreds of entries that shouldn't be messed with. Not a keeper for me either.
