  1. ... that and UPX compression will remove the signed digital signature of CCleaner.exe, and Piriform doesn't allow repacking/redistribution.
  2. Try cleaning Internet Explorer using it's Internet Properties->General (tab)->Browsing History cleaners that are built into it, reboot your computer, and then try CCleaner. No guarantee that will correct the issue, however it's worth a try.
  3. What was your OS, and where did you download CCleaner from?
  4. I don't Yahoo, but then again I don't use the most recent version of Firefox either.
  5. From viewing other topics with people reporting problems with cookies it is perhaps a bug in CCleaner v5 with cookies.
  6. Check that ccleaner.ini for the portable version has a zero in it for the monitoring setting by searching the .ini for: Monitoring= Monitoring=0
  7. Like is disabled. You can't like anything.
  8. And if you decide to "fix" the issues make a System Restore Point beforehand, so you can very easily undo any changes.
  9. I never had a scaling problem with previous or the current version on XP though, so perhaps the scaling issues being reported by you and others are with newer Windows OSes.
  10. The Piriform owners aren't going to allow that link being it's unofficial so I've removed it. There already is an official CCleaner Portable available from Piriform at: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds
  11. See here about it's usage - and do use it with extreme caution: http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/using-ccleaner/finding-duplicate-files --------- Also please refrain from posting in all caps in future posts.
  12. That's because Dragon is in the Chrome section when CCleaner offers to clean it, etc. Since you have two browsers based on Chromium you'll have to enable/disable plugins via the individual browsers.
  13. +1. This has been suggested before and would be a very welcomed feature!
  14. You have the Pro version therefore if that Docs site link that Hazelnut posted above doesn't work you can request help directly from Piriform. Note that at least two other posts I've seen have reported Cookies issue with CCleaner v5.
  15. You could've posted in that topic, to confirm the bug report of Gardis. However I'll leave this topic in place.
  16. You could try, but sometimes CCleaner won't allow full paths via winapp2.ini entries, it if doesn't allow it a workable alternative is to make an Include in 'Options->Include'.
  17. It's easy to remember when to update it to, it's usually the same day of Microsoft's Updates Tuesday.
  18. +1 I totally agree! Having the hash codes (at least MD5 and SHA-1) listed on the downloads is an important security measure. Edit: Moved this topic to Suggestions.
  19. I'd recommend posting about it in the Bug Reporting area by starting your own unique topic: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showforum=8
  20. Monitoring is still in v5. Just browse some topics and the screenshots shown look very similar on WinXP Pro. Edit: See this persons post, the first image on the left is what it looks like now: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=42311&p=256286
  21. Perhaps go to the Doug Knox site, he has a bunch of fixes for WinXP archived and still available, and in the past if something was broken in WinXP we'd send people to his site: http://dougknox.com/
  22. Move to the Windows Security forum area since CCleaner is not a malware removal tool.
  23. You can still use the old MBAM 1.75, they're still feeding it definition/signature files. You just have to turn off the automatic downloading of the new program version.
  24. Autoupdate is available for people who've purchased the Pro version.
