Both the Windows and Applications section are run when you run cleaner if you are running vista or win7 you can get your files back Type %AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player in the startmenu Right click on the folder where the flash cookies are saved "#sharedobjects" and choose properties go to the "Previous Versions tab" and open the version of the folder from before you ran cleaner open the random letters folder and copy the folder for your game from this folder to %AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#sharedobjects this SHOULD return functionality to your game(s)

if you search your registry you will find HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Common probably your computer came with a trial of Office 97 export the key HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\ and then delete it if you have no issues with office 2003 (give it ~week) after doing this delete the exported key

welcome Nope that's the only difference portable leaves no install traces, it's a zip file so you don't install it at all. It comes with the portable.dat and is already (and forced to) set to save in ini file. you can place it on your flashdrive/ipod/external harddrive/ and use it on any computer you want
-
Also did you use the cleaner section? or the registry section? I do use Outlook and I donot have this issue and use ccleaner very regularly have you tried a system restore to before you used ccleaner?

Nergal replied to Winapp2.ini's topic in CCleaner
Very good post. I'd love it if this were a sticky except do you mean Thinking is the same as not knowing, and it'd be best NOT to remove something that looks like it may be important. -
Hey, ie is working for me (ie8 windows 7) can someone with a different ie or OS try the new zip Thanks still to Pluto and to the CCleaner Devs

why pay for a program to do something that you can do within IE If you only want today's history deleted than why not just do it within IE

CCleaner destroys the Konvertor registry key
Nergal replied to jack7854's topic in CCleaner Bug Reporting
Don't blame ccleaner, you should have looked at your registry entries before cleaning. Did you create a backup of the registry items as prescribed by the cleaner? if so just merge them back into the registry. If you didn't you'll have to reinstall the program, or try a system restore. From now on your best bet is to follow the advice laid out in my signature. -
no just use the portable version on the other builds site or switch it to use ini in advanced before burning it to cd (of course you'll also have to let it build the ini and copy the ini to the disc with ccleaner before burning)

looks like he's not running the installer with elevated privilages (admin UAC issue)

CCleaner does not remove any restore points, unless you use the restore point section of ccleaner (Under tools) and even then removes any except for the latest Restore point
-

CCleaner to support cleaning the Browser: Flock.
Nergal replied to FMRadio's topic in CCleaner Suggestions
What exactly are you looking to clean? Cache? Cookies? History? if you let us know, we users can probably help create a winapp2.ini entry of course I don't understand why you don't just set Flock to clean at exit http://www.flock.com/user-guide/2.5/advpriv.html -
You'll have to use Tools>Include for custom locations or make a winapp2.ini
-
find and delete the files. They will be at the root of your system drive (usually c:\) and be a random string of characters Use Shift+Delete as to not just send them to the recycle bin (Insert Nergal's usual Gripe about WFS being a part of ccleaners)

remove the checkmark from window size and location
