  1. Hi sarah Read post #24 above (http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=131638) and this'll answer your question
  2. This is normal to see one's security product listed in the Registry Section. Security products DONOT usually report themselves in the traditional manner (the one that ccleaner uses) and you would not want them to as it would make disabling them (via MALWARE) much easier. Two steps you can take 1) Tell Ccleaner to ignore these two entires or 2) (RECOMMENDED) REad and follow my signature
  3. Quick easy RAM Cleaner Start Menu Shut Down Restart MMMMMM not sure how CCleaner could improve on this. MY honest opinion only of course
  4. t still coming up as corrupt zip file on both my vista and XP machines with multiple unzip programs (Explorer, Universal Extractor) 7Zip did the best as it was able to look inside the Zip file where it sees a UNIX file called "embedded_INIs_v2.20" with was then able to open that unix file and find the ini files inside that. Not sure what archiver your using but. . . most people aren't going to be able to figure that one out
  5. This is an error on ADOBE's part not ccleaners. I stopped the error by manually editing that registry entry to point to the CORRECT location of the file referenced. So far no problems and the reg entry doesn't come up bad anymore in ccleaner
  6. As an "expert user" I'm highly highly opposed to number 1 90% of what shown should not be removed (ok that's a little high of a % but still. . . ) 2. I'm still getting used to the SRb featureb but I agree with this. 3. Is this even possible (for instance: Java NEVER remembers that I don't want the MSN toolbar, this may even be part of the advertising deal embedded with using tool bars) excuse my ingnorance, I use the portable version, so not install options, but what other options (ohhhhh the right cick stuff, and recycle bin, huh)
  7. Developers PLZ don't do what you did with Wipe free space and bow to the pressure of "defrag" requests. we've all seen the pains WFS has caused many users, we've seen the pains the gentle reg cleaner has caused many many (mis)users plz for the love of dog (my dog of course ) don't add this feature keep ccleaner a crap cleaner simple
  8. many of these are already supported in either the Base program (safari) or winapp2.ini otherwise you can add them into your own winapp2 http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=1110 (they make blazer for other platforms besides Palm who knew )
  9. please don't double post i just answered this in your other question. Moderators, is there a merge func on this board
  10. Just use the search box in the upper right. Type *.jpg and you'll only see jpg you can also (under options view by thumbnail, and you be able to see if it is retrievable. hint if you can setup a second drive to recover to otherwise you stand less of a chance to retrieve after every file you get back
  11. it's already in the program As of the 2.17 (Haven't been able to get the 2.18 or 2.19 embedded ini) the entry is [Quicktime Player]LangSecRef=3023Detect=HKLM\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\QuickTimeDefault=TrueRegKey1=HKLM\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\QuickTime\Recent MoviesFileKey1=%userprofile%|QTPlayerSession.xmlFileKey2=%appdata%\Apple Computer\QuickTime|QTPlayerSession.xml[Quicktime Player Cache]LangSecRef=3023Detect=HKLM\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\QuickTimeDefault=TrueFileKey1=%localappdata%\Apple Computer\QuickTime\downloads|*.*|RECURSE Did you do a custom install and place it in a folder other than the =%localappdata%\Apple Computer\QuickTime\downloads that cleaner is looking for?
  12. yes by default ccleaner will only clean the system drive but if you go to options>include add a file and choose any file in the e:\drive's recycle bin and select ok next right click the entry and choose manually edit entry where the file name (e.g. bob.txt) is replace it with *.* Hope that helps Nergal the friendly Demon
  13. Never Mind This is true for vista SP1 as well
  14. Broken zip mmm further investigation result in all attaches on this thread being broken, is file server down?
  15. Vista sp1 Fully patched After running CCleaner Tray Notifications cleanup, and restarting computer, i found that the notification tray still had All pasticons and settings this is not ccleaner's fault as a registry search finds no sign of HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VisualEffects HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify|IconStreams HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify|PastIconsStream HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify|IconStreams HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify|PastIconsStream however i for one cannot find hide-nor-hair of any new location. I'm hoping someone else can (or already has) do better than me in locating, and that we can return this function to CCleaner
  16. it may also be blocking it b/c ccleaner installer set's off quite a few False Postives in AV. try and download the portable build and see if it still does the same thing
  17. seems to me this is not a bug at all "delete saved form information"=Delete form information including saved passwords which are, in fact saved form information. I agree with the above poster, if you want to keep your saved passwords a) uncheck saved form info or get a password vault (either plugin or program)
  18. the last few recuva's have included ipod abilities the touch should be the same/simular to the classic boy you choose an old thread to ask on
  19. I also used EOL (stupid Practice Management ASP grrrrrrrr so many better ways to map printers GRRRRR) if i remember correctly if you uncheck remote desktop in the applications it shpuld clear this up
  20. I would assume that's why you see such old files naw but seriously, the 7 passes isn't the scan, it's for when you over write. deepscan does just that scans for as much "recoverable" it can find no matter what
  21. YOU CAN put it on the same drive, it's just not suggested. Any Data you write to the same drive increases GREATLY chances that you will overwrite the file being recovered or another file which is wished to be recovered. Sorry for MY english, I speak it but My brain has become mushy like a fish (see that doesn't even make any sense)

    Winsys2.ini?

AFAIK there is not one made though it is, i believe, Possible.
  23. Wipe Free space will create a file (no matter howmany passes you have set) Of extra ordinary size. At the end of Wipe freespace this file will be disposed of which'll then allow you the freedom of empty space. I (and this is just a personal feeling not share by ALL regularly visiting members of this forum) am VERY against wipe freespace as it causes many users issues.

    Run DLL error

Not sure where you went where you think you couldn't get around the donation Try to reinstall the Dell printer. Have you tried this solution http://support.dell.com//support/topics/gl...clang=en&cs Also, while your at it make sure to read my signature for advice of registry editing
  25. I believe the Devs are working on changing CCleaner to reflect MS's change until then you can use the exclude section of ccleaner to exclude the dat files in the new cookies folder
