  1. Yup, you are correct this did suprise me So after this revelation I ran a Regshot and snapped the registry and C:\ before and after pressing the clear all site list Then did a couple more experiments and found that these sites are stored in the %AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\settings.sol Comparing a Settings.sol that has a site (hulu.com) with a Clean new Settings.sol the end of the "with" file contains the following which is not in the "empty" one 00 07domains 03 00 0Cwww.hulu.com 01 01 00 00? 00 00 05panel 00?? 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 So I'll do some more testing but unless the developers of CCleaner can think of a better way the only way to dump these websites is to delete the entire settings.sol file (which will recreate itself on the next flash site run) but will also delete all other flash settings (default camera, Autoupdate timing, Autoupdate last check, trusted/untrusted) If these concessions are okay with you I can edit the above winapp2.ini and you'll be good to go. Note I would NOT recommend manually editing this file however as any editing seemed to make Flash recreate the settings.sol anew thus losing any settings anyway
  2. Here's Googles Version The latest version of the error it clear that figure, in the "Windows" tab, analysis and removal of refuse, it will default to "application" is selected under the items removed, sometimes I just want to clear the "Windows" tab of the Junk file, rather than clear the "application" under. (Not sure if it makes anymore sense though maybe we could combine and look at the pic ) (Andavari y for you do not use unicode text ) Maybe I understand 一朵微笑, to make the applications or any part not clear the junk files, you only need to remove the check mark from next to each item. to clear an entire section, press the picture next to the name. Also, please type in English, even if you have to use http://translate.google.com 使应用程序或任何部分,不能清除垃圾文件,你只需要删除的每个项旁边的复选标记。清除一整节,按图片名称旁边。 另外,请以英文输入,即使你必须使用 http://translate.google.com

  4. the Flash Player setting in the Built in INI cleans Flash setting/cookies (*.SOL) flies perfectly fine [Macromedia Flash 4.0]ID=2051LangSecRef=3023Detect=HKCU\Software\Macromedia\Flash 4Default=TrueRegKey1=HKCU\Software\Macromedia\Flash 4\Recent File List[Macromedia Flash 5.0]ID=2052LangSecRef=3023Detect=HKCU\Software\Macromedia\Flash 5Default=TrueRegKey1=HKCU\Software\Macromedia\Flash 5\Recent File List[Adobe Flash Player]ID=2055LangSecRef=3023Detect=HKCR\CLSID\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}Default=TrueSpecialKey1=N_FLASH_COOKIES No additional includes are needed. the only ones it does not clean are those I have added to the exclude list. However if you want to remove the Most recent list add this to your winapp2.ini [*Adobe Flash Most recent Files]LangSecRef=3023Detect=HKCU\Software\Macromedia\FlashPlayerDefault=TrueRegKey1=HKCU\Software\Macromedia\FlashPlayer Note: I HAVE tested this Winapp2.ini entry and it functions as I said. the next flash site you go to will restore the now empty HKCU\Software\Macromedia\FlashPlayer without any recent in it
  5. To those for whom Opera10 does not show up is opera install in the default location? (to note CCLeaner uses "special detect" and "special key" for opera so I'm not sure how it is actually detecting)
  6. Try this one I zipped in in Vista's Built in Zipper http://drop.io/z8fgp3x
  7. Yup your posts are: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?act=fi...&pid=145650 http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?act=fi...&pid=145643 and of course the one in this thread http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?act=fi...&pid=145660
  8. After a reboot of the machine the dat should be clean ccleaner marks the dat for deletion at reboot wow o wow Glad to hear from a FITS that they approve of other parts of the program Also windows 7 is in testing for a little longer with the devs of CCLeaner (Starting with ie8 dat.s are everywhere and so it seems to be a bit harder to track them and clean them when asked for and not clean them when not) (BTW I'm just a user not a team member or developer)
  9. the code that you see is "overwriting." meaning, at least part of the document was overwriten by another/other file(s) if you are trying to recover the file onto the same drive as you are trying to recover you can (and most likely will) actually cause more damage to the file. most likely the file will be irretrievable, from the looks of it. Take this as a lesson learned always backup your important work.
  10. Ccleaner deletes and fixes things that need UAC permission. It's your computer but I would have to say, i my very educated opinion, it is EXTREMELY irresposible to turn off UAC
  11. Denis is it possible to split the broken Zip file into it's own thread with a mention at the top of this thread, it's gone of the topic of the embedded files IMHO
  12. Actually Dennis I think he's looking more for this http://docs.piriform.com/ccleaner/using-cc...egistry-entries However it has been batted about that the developers add an option to right click on found regkey and choose add to exclude list. (one of the few additions to ccleaner I actually DO support) To Note: Most/All Antivirus and security programs Mask their Registry keys to make it harder for malicious programs (of which CCleaner is not) from disabling your security via the registry. Thus confusing CCleaner into thinking that the Registry key is not owned by any program and (thus) show it on the key list Also read my signature
  13. Naw, I don't know nothin I just went to their webpage Ok so We're getting some where Go Here and Read how to use the Include/Exclude sections http://docs.piriform.com/ccleaner/using-cc...egistry-entries Post if you run into problems from here (or just to tell us it worked) If it tells you something along the lines of "can't delete because file is in use" then try and restart the machine in safe mode or follow the instructions in the 3b step of my post above and disable any services and autoruns related to the game and restart the computer and try again. don't worry we'll get this devil of your machine. . . (this is why I hate "programs" that're like this game I mean come on how hard is it to make a uninstaller for when some one is finish with your program. I find these games to be akin to Malware for this very reason)
  14. what says that on what folder removal section? Do you mean what I've circled in the picture below? That's just telling you that you should understand what you are doing before using this section (To note: I can see how the language might be confusing for new users of ccleaner) You can indeed use this and all sections on the program just be careful is all it is saying So lets get back to the removal of the program in question 1) is the program not removable via windows removal interface? 2) is this the program to which you refer http://shaiya.aeriagames.com/ ? 3)Have you followed these simple instructions? http://forums.aeriagames.com/viewtopic.php...3dd6baf00d581cf 3b) if that doesn't work try http://forums.aeriagames.com/viewtopic.php?p=425921#425921 4) who told you to use ccleaner (if online please link) I've put a watch on this topic so if you post, i'll know and come back to try and help more
  15. You should not need to reinstall, however Vista+task scheduler+CCleaner = Fail as Cleaner needs elevated privilages to run (UAC Prompt must be clicked)
  16. Tom, If you are running Firefox Portable from PortableApps.com then no it does not place files on your hard drive (thus the "portable") however if you are running Firefox 3.0 or older then you can set the Firefox to ask you to delete files at the end of every session (which is what I used to do) I am currently running Firefox Portable 3.5 and while it does not give me the option to choose to delete or not delete at the end of every session I do have it set to always delete at the end of sessions. However, again, these files are not on your hard drive but are on the drive from which you run firefox Portable.
  17. I like it, I think, but I've noticed it doesn't handle winapp2.ini very well (if you expand an win*2.ini setion it shows you all found files )
  18. Just checked, and confirmed this (don't have chrome to check with though) MR G are you (by chance) zipping these with windows 7 inbuilt zipper?
  19. For registry cleaning LESS is better use it only on entries you know you want gone read my signature and all will be well
  20. Ie History view looks at the history dat when cleaner cleans dats (cache, History, Cookies) it requires a restart of the computer to clear the dats. If you restart your computer you should see nothing in iehistory view
  21. Be Specifc what do you mean won't download? The previous errors reported (which HAS been fixed) was not that it "will not download" but that the zip file was corrupt and wouldn't open via anything except 7-zip and maybe a few other 3rd party zip extractors. Is this the problem you are having? or is there another issue you are having?
  22. everything leaves traces no matter how securly it was deleted it just depends on what those traces contain (if the secure deletion was done right probably junk or zeros)
  23. Nergal

    CCleaner

You're completely wrong, CCLEANER is 100% Free. donations are in fact just that donations. There is never any need to pay for the program and the developers have never done anything to make you think it should. Did you get the program from this site?
  24. Nergal

    Explorer 8

TURN OFF DELETE INDEX.DATs or exclude the cookies index.dat. CCleaner isn't deleting the cookies just making IE blind to them when you delete the indexes
  25. I use "ie Privacy Keeper" from www.BrowserTools.net to do this as it has setting to do exactly what you are saking for. It's the only major cleaning I do outside of CCleaner (it also will run when ff is closed and you can add anyprogram you want in addition, I added outlook)
