  1. Confirmed with a Microsoft Mouse too (wow I'd never have even thought to try this ) NOTE: this is only true for the Result Summary results detail does Scroll in the Right Pane

    Registry

I usually clean mine out after 1 Mth or so (At least I plan to but sometimes don't) but as soon as you are sure you don't need the entries in them feel free to does them.
  3. There is no Proof that registry Defrag does anything benificial. CCLeaner is a Crap Cleaner. duplicates finder removers are many, and not all duplicates are Crap. These ideas are not new and do not, IMHAEO, appeal to the purpose of CCLeaner
  4. Alan, winapp2 is very safe (though you could conceivably add entries which would change that safeness),.you can add in any order (though i believe it is currently if alphabetical to make it easier to find). i usually place two * in front of my entries (to differentiate from twisted metal's) it may take a fraction longer to load as it's looking for more programs; if you're using it on an installed copy of cleaner, as opposed to a portable, you could delete what you feel you will never have, but that seems like a lot of work for a few second faster loading :-/ i think there may be some duplication as TM hasn't edited the downloadable winapp2 in multiple versions of CCleaner. hope that helped some, i'm following this thread so feel free to ask more questions

    Bug?

Don't defrag Flash you'll kill your drive tons faster if flash is fraged copy everything off of it and recopy it back on
  6. Umm I've never had it mess with my mouse speed settings. Can you upload your ccleaner.ini file? (You may need to enable use ini file in options first). If you go into mouse settings does this confirm that your mouse speed settings have changed? What OS are you using? What version of CCleaner? No not at all, are you running the cleaner or are you running the registry integrity check (See my signature) It lists them when you run analyze
  7. ???? Y you can do this within the browser (which ever one you are talking about) the point of the cleaner is that most people do not clean out these files and thus might have 40000000000000000 days of history (yes exageration but still)
  8. specifically what? what's cleaned by the one not cleaned by the other? do you mean registry or file? Have you tried using the Winapp2.ini option of Ccleaner?
  9. In short Vista no longer allows the deletion of Update uninstall packages, CCleaner does do this for XP still
  10. no ebedded zip just is there to show what's already writen into the system the ini file does fine with %variables% where I see non support is in the Include/exclude section There is an option in the installed version (one which I and many other Advanced members ask users to use) which will use ini in the program's folder so just change to use ini and place an empty text file called "ccleaner.ini" in the program folder
  11. until you no longer need them I usually keep mine for about a month till I know for sure those (few) entries I removed caused no harm. Please read my signature
  12. ummm lets see here where to start Recuva=free z-a=ZAR - Data recovery software at $(US)49.95 (unless all you want is photos) recuva=portable z-a= nope recuva and z-a both will show many files and may even show them as recoverable. end product file is a different story. That said I use recuva with great regualrity and (when faced with a dead drive or what not) use a paid recovery program (Runtime software's getdataback)
  13. Where in the registry are they exactly, because it may be that they are listed sites in the security section of the registry. For instance if they're listed as this Key Name: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\{SITENAME}\wwwClass Name: <NO CLASS>Last Write Time: 7/9/2009 - 11:52 AMValue 0 Name: * Type: REG_DWORD Data: 0x4 the Data 0x4 means that it is a restricted site (if data reads 0x2 it's a trusted site)
  14. I assume you mean that Safari is in D:\Safari (If not go through the below code and chage as needed) Try this Download winApp2.ini And add this to it [safari - Internet Cache]ID=2009LangSecRef=3028LangRef=3161Default=TrueDetectFile=D:\Safari\Safari.exeFileKey1=%localappdata%\Apple Computer\Safari|Cache.db[safari - Internet History]ID=2010LangSecRef=3028LangRef=3162Default=TrueDetectFile=D:\Safari\Safari.exeFileKey1=%appdata%\Apple Computer\Safari|History.plistFileKey2=%appdata%\Apple Computer\Safari|Downloads.plistFileKey3=%localappdata%\Apple Computer\Safari\History|*.*[safari - Cookies]ID=2011LangSecRef=3028LangRef=3102Default=TrueDetectFile=D:\Safari\Safari.exeFileKey1=%appdata%\Apple Computer\Safari\Cookies|Cookies.plist[safari - Saved Form Information]ID=2012LangSecRef=3028LangRef=3164Default=FalseDetectFileD:\Safari\Safari.exeFileKey1=%appdata%\Apple Computer\Safari|Form Values.plist Note: I only Assume this will work (just as I assume D:\ is not your system drive)
  15. I don't think that CCleaner is actually on the Bar. I think all it does is install the toolbar (it's attached to the installer to make Money for ccleaner, for every version that is downloaded with the toolbar)
  16. Wiki advice old Just download the portable version http://www.recuva.com/download/builds Post back if this does not fix the issue
  17. most Portableapps version are just bloated launchers and aren't needed for many portable applications. CCLeaner is one of those. another that he does package that doesn't need it is Miranda
  18. Keith, use 7zip it'll open it it's a two layer zip though MR T definitly needs to use a different zipper
  19. I think that's a language thing efi46251, what do you have checked off on ccleaner? what OS are you running? If vista you must run CCleaner with elevated privalges. Do you do custom install locations with your programs (This may cause CCleaner not to recongnize a program has been installed) Can you do us a favor and (under options>Advanced)put a checkmark in Save all settings to ini file. then exit the program, go to the program folder (usually %ProgramFiles%\ccleaner ) open the INI in notepad and copy/paste the contents here
  20. ARRRRRGGGGG Your font has burned my poor little eyes. This seems outside of the realm of what ccleaner does
  21. depending on the program ccleaner looks for either a reg entry or a specific file/folder EXample: the Bold part is what ccleaner is looking for in this case
  22. XP? Vista? Service pack? Version of CCleaner? i don't understand what you mean? did you just run cleaner? or did you run registry integ? What is checked on in the section that you ran? Could you create a restore point and go one by one with the checkmarks until the point deletes? All of these questions need to be answered for bug fix (if there is one)
  23. +1 I agree but then my signature would go unread
  24. This thread may be of Use to you if you have a domain in the corporation (I very much agree with the post that went up yesterday (06/10/09)
