  1. uncheck adobe flash in multimedia or better yet in tools>exclude choose the cookies you don't want tossed mmm in my haste "cookies tossed" seems oddly put oh well not offencive just gross
  2. Uncheck All Firefox check and try cleanwith firefox closed, does it still crash? If not check each one of the firefox seperatly and clean each time, until crash. then report back I don't understand, this seems to be a seperate issue from the one being covered by this thread. Please start your own thread. Thanks
  3. Sounds more like you are not running the Program as admin, thus any changes you make to the registry/ini of ccleaner is not being saved
  4. Windows doesn't allow path names longer than 260 or actually Source: http://www.windowsreference.com/windows-20...ons-in-windows/
  5. Can some one what reads the language (polish?) of the original detailed error please write a translation for us english forumers
  6. worked for me (iE8) are you able to go to the page manually?
  7. 'course you should always be running ccleaner as admin, as manythings will not clean correctly not as admin
  8. Nergal

    ccleaner

also exclude, if you are using ie8, this C:\Users\{YOURUSERNAME}\AppData\Local\temp\Cookies\*.dat and uncheck index dats under internet explorer in ccleaner
  9. Before you posted it, did check the Ccleaner License to make sure you were not breaking it? Did you consult with the Developers about your intentions before you jumped in with a reworked installer? seems to me like one or both of these would be a big reason for it, though I am just guessing.
  10. hint, this is because it is a bad idea to fix all issues please read my signature
  11. Has it, doesn't clean it :-( [Adobe Flash Player]ID=2055LangSecRef=3023Detect=HKCR\CLSID\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}Default=TrueSpecialKey1=N_FLASH_COOKIES However Flash Cookies (As defined by my Internet cleaner program iePrivacykeeper) are here (Which is untouched) C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\{IndividualKeywhichchangesperFlashinstall} If someone can help me with Recurses we could make a clean that does %appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\
  12. Don't fear CCLeaner just don't use (useless IMHO) Wipe FreeSpace. Devs I hate to say it but once again I renew my plea for WipefreeSpace to be removed. If people really want it, make it a seperate GUI program but. . . sooooo many issues
  13. These are false postives. Based of what ccleaner does it will often report as a trojan to certain Antiviruses you should reprot this flase to the maker of the AV program. But always make sure to download ccleaner from either here or Filehippo and NO OTHER Places
  14. Lets start with the Last Question. >Yes it will improve your performance. So now to your big question >I am very cautious when it comes to Reg cleaning. I'd say as long as you follow my signature you should be fine. Be sure to make backups of the registry (you'll be given the option when you do the clean. However, of registry cleaners, CCLEANER is the safest and most kind to the registry.
  15. only daily reg cleaning is ewww not regular cleaning. Y'scared me with the wrong sentence LOL
  16. @Strife Please share your ideas for winapp2 we'd love to see them (as I said there's even a thread for that) Yes you can detect other things besides keys example DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Safari\Safari.exe Offtopic: I disagree and this is discussed elsewhere so maybe we can continue that in one of those billion threads
  17. Problem 1. Don't do that. Follow my signature advice See Problem 1. . . also CCleaner doesn't delete anything unless you tell it to Problem 2 personally I wouldn't use ANY registry Cleaner on Windows 7 until official world wide release as MANY registry entries are bound to be differently handled in Windows 7 and so it should be properly and completely vetted by Programmers before drastic things like reg cleaning are done My snarkyness (Though absolutely honest and Importantly TRUE) aside this answer is right on the money. If you've been running a {Gasp Ewwww} daily clean and don't have reg backups from those you need NEVER to do a reg clean again. I don't believe CCleaner did this but. . . see part 3 of my answer. And for goodness sake read and follow my signature it'll save your life the next time this happens (or the first time as I don't think CCleaner did this) WHY ARE you doing daily reg fixes
  18. winapp2 is mostly a guidline to get you started twistedmetal says he's found little to update in it However you are always welcome to place your ini additions and, recently a topic was added for just that purpose. Metal says he plans on doing another set of changes at some point but has yet to do it. Note Winapp2 on this forum is a user created and maintained thing, not Official Piriform
  19. You don't have to keep installing it, and I see no reason why you would think you did. I also can forsee sooo many problem arising from cleaning SOMEONE ELSE's user
  20. Besides which Priform offers two version of all their software that come without the bundleware that helps them keep CCleaner, recuva, and defragger FREE If they charged you I'm sure you'd moan too
  21. Everyone has such beautiful answers it's a shame to ruin the fun but . . . I think This is the way for the OP to go http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=14936 If you aren't the IT person (johnny) then get them to set that up
  22. Nergal
