  1. I have sent a note to the support team. In the meantime: You can update your CCleaner for Mac from 1.15 to 1.16 directly here: https://download.ccleaner.com/mac/CCMacSetup116.dmg It looks like you recently purchased CCleaner Professional Plus - which is for PCs. The support team will help you switch that across to the Mac version (which is cheaper) and make sure you get back the difference in price.
  2. Only if a user eventually buys it. Otherwise - nada. Because of this, unlike other creators of free software (who get paid for third-party installs regardless of what happens afterwards) there is zero motivation on CCleaner's part to "drive-by" install anything to users who would immediately uninstall it. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, there are rules set up to not even bother offering Avast to users who seem unlikely to want it, and an eye-catching purple-and-orange banner that takes up a third of the install screen for those who might. We are continually tweaking this to minimise unwanted accidental installs, and working on a solution that should be more completely robust to installer glitches from a user's environment.
  3. You did this in settings? When you click the home icon you will go to google.com.mx:
  4. If this is the 3 PC Pro Plus licence, it should be the same process on each PC. After installing CCleaner on each PC (from https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard, if you don't already have the installer), open the console and go to Options > About > Upgrade to Pro. Enter your registered name and copy-paste the licence key from your confirmation email into the "License Key" field. ... and, of course, as a paid customer the folks in the CCleaner customer support team is always ready to help you directly with any issues you may have. You can reach them via https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/requests/new or at support@ccleaner.com.
  5. While most incidents are from people who clicked through without paying attention to the big purple and orange banner, we do get reports of a bug (no offer but install still triggered) for a small percentage of users. The bulk of these seemed to be a delayed load of the banner for users on slow internet connections - although this was remedied a while back. Of the few remaining cases we still see it seems anecdotally to be a particular set of circumstances related to an interrupted install, possibly due to interference from AV or other configuration blocking the successful display of the banner. Any additional details that you could provide would be most helpful in isolating, replicating and correcting this issue for other users. In the meantime, the commonly recommended solution for those users experiencing this issue is to use the "Slim Build" installer from https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds which contains no third party offers or optional components in the installer.
  6. On the (slightly different to the OP) topic of the free updates that you mention, this is something that we've already started tinkering with to strike a better balance with the user experience on the landing page so that we let free users know that there is also a paid option with extra stuff (including automatic updates) but without losing too many of them who find navigating their way to the free download (at https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard) is too hard and give up. There's a few moving parts to the whole thing, and it is a work in progress, but expect improvements over the coming months.
  7. Analyze lets you know how much space will be saved and gives you an opportunity to check through just in case there is something that you might actually want to keep. Otherwise, as NukeCad said, you can just go directly to cleaning
  8. As per the announcements section. Now with full Mojave support!

Select "Documents" in the wizard - it will pick up Word, excel and PDF but will narrow down the file type list for you.
  10. Actually uninstalling software is a separate function under Tools > Uninstall. What shows up in your list of Applications to clean under Custom Clean > Applications? Also under Custom Clean > Windows. Are you certain that Office is being completely uninstalled? Or is it just that the Start Menu and Desktop shortcuts have been wiped?
  11. Stubs for optional downloading Avast and Chrome are still in the full build. As I recall, problems in the past have been specific to Eset vs the toolbar. On VirusTotal, at least, 5.58 shows no false positives - including WebRoot's engine.
  12. Looks like you have both the 32 bit and the 64 bit version installed, with the 64 bit version up to date and the 32 bit version one behind. On the uninstall tab how many versions of VLC do you see installed on your PC?
  13. It's been up and down ... mainly down. As at the time of writing this I can see @Killermaco's system specs loading nicely (see screenshot below), but your mileage will vary depending on the time of day. Capacity issues. Despite our sentimental attachment to that rusting piece of iron, we need to shell out some cash and get ourselves a new server.
  14. Since 2011, a couple of AV engines would false-positive CCleaner because of the presence of the Google Toolbar as an optional install. However, Google Toolbar was removed as of version 5.58. Make sure that you are downloading the latest version from the official site https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard
  15. This thread has quite a few different topics in it. My response was to the most recent item. Most of the other matters have already been answered. On the broad topic of people saying that their serials don't work when entered into the product, there are a number of reasons why this can happen: The most common is a mistranscribed serial key - typing a "2" instead of a "Z", etc. For customers who have purchased online, it is recommended that the serial key be copy-pasted from the email to avoid this. Putting the wrong information in the "name" field. The CCleaner licensing system is a bit old, clunky and temperamental - you need to enter a name, not an email address and it's case sensitive to the capitalisation it has on record for you. Counterfeit keys. There are quite a few of these sold by third parties for too-good-to-be-true prices. They tend not to work. Cancelled pirated keys. Periodically, we'll cancel keys that have been found to have been pirated. No keys were cancelled just because the licences had expired, and retail keys will work on the downloaded software. Indeed, I am currently using an old retail serial key at the moment, entered directly into version 5.56 which cheerfully auto-updated itself to 5.58. If any of the bullet points above do not apply, then your key not working would be a bug not a feature. @Derek_S DM me your key and I can get it checked out to see what is up with it.
  16. While it would be lovely if you could buy CCleaner, we understand that not everyone is in a position to do so - which is why there is always a free version for home users. When you see a notification that a new version has been released (at the time of writing, the latest is 5.58) then you can update for free by clicking on the pop-up, "no thanks"ing your way through the screens on the website asking if you would like to buy instead please, and you will end up at the free download on this page https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard
  17. It is worth noting that CCleaner Pro being a one year licence is not exactly a new thing. It was mentioned on the forum in 2013 ... And also back in 2012 ... ... although what is relatively new is CCleaner actually telling people that they have expired. Later this year, CCleaner will start sending less in the way of pop-up notifications to expired home users (particularly for those who expired in 2018 or earlier), relying more on making your status more prominent within the product console itself as a reminder instead.
  18. If it was this: ... then yes indeed that is a physical CD backup of the product that was purchased - not extra software.
  19. Don't feel left out. There'll be a couple of pop-ups for Germany at the end of the month.
  20. Although we have added some niche browsers in the past and doing more is on the backlog list, they'll be handled in order of popularity with our user base - which probably means we'll see Cốc Cốc added before Waterfox.
  21. @jknauth just checking, as of today are you seeing the FileHippo updater behaving itself now with regards to CCleaner 5.58?
  22. Note CCleaner is configurable, so you can set it to not wipe the cookies that you need. Also, the old custom clean is still there and can be set as your default if you prefer more granular settings.
  23. Firstly, congratulations for getting those old cards to work on recent versions of Windows 10 at all! I gather that generation of graphics cards was never completely Windows 10 compatible ... While CCleaner certainly doesn't do anything particularly fancy with graphics it is possible that something seemingly innocuous like a loading bar is triggering a latent bug in the drivers. A couple of options: 1) Updating to the 2013 version of driver (8.15.10.2702) from Microsoft http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q= Intel Corporation driver update for Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family Microsoft ... which may also assist with incompatibility with other software. 2) Or, if you don't feel like poking at your graphics card, rolling back to CCleaner 5.56 (https://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/90490/) ... and setting it not to ping you with update notifications so it doesn't tease you with the new releases.
  24. Good to know that the traditional software vendor answer of "blame Microsoft" sometimes still applies :-)
  25. For those having issues that appear to be graphics-card related (flashing video, black screen, etc) can you post your graphics card model and driver version please?
