  1. You mean, your not really a robot!
  2. I second the idea, it would help cleanup the look of the start menu.
  3. I'm still using the Win 7 32bit RC and its been very stable, better or equal to my 32bit XP in everything ife thrown at it. I have friends using the 64bit RC and some using the full release versions, and all have been singing praises. one even said he had better stability when going from 32bit RC to 64bit RC, he was having issues with Firefox, which could have been anything.
  4. According to the info about TFC it only deletes temp files from every user account. I can imagine getting rid of VPN setting as a normal part of cleaning up an infection as it wouldn't be as fast for the spyware mod to manually work out if it was a valid VPN, but from what I can see TFC shouldn't touch those settings.
  5. And if you upgrade to Firefox for most of your browsing it has that delete "x hours" feature built in.
  6. they all have different functions McAfee = Antivirus SpyBot = Antispyware (different to viruses) CCleaner = junk cleaner, cleans temporary files and program leftovers. so you could have all three if you wanted to
  7. Yes but his screen shows 3 * CCleaner entries. In all English installs I've ever done, there are only 2 options Open and Run, He has "Executer CCleaner", "Lancer CCleaner" and "Ouvrir CCLeaner" which is 3. No idea why tho'.
  8. please post in English if possible: Google translated to It's good to hear you like the program Maybe, it will depend if they have a translator for Simplified Chinese.
  9. Note this is a english speaking forum, please explain exactly what you are meaning. Is that a line of text in ccleaner that is not translated correctly or what? Google translated above text : "Why does not this software simplified Chinese version?"
  10. No, I think he wants anyone to be able to run ccleaner with his chosen settings (ie. IE cleaning disabled) but not have access to changing the settings. Adding ccleaner to zip file will mean yes his settings are safe but no one else can run the cleans he has approved.
  11. Don't double post, and again, have you installed todays update v1.00.06 http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showto...st&p=153824
  12. you have install this mornings update right....
  13. congarts, Your gonna have fun now, Spoil the kid while nobody's watching
  14. As it should, I (personally) meant no blame or attack Just last time someone "claimed" ccleaner didn't erase the files, they hadn't actually "recuved" and opened the files, to fully test them. Its 2am to am currently to lazy to test delete and recuva a file and verify for myself. I'm sure the dev's will want as much info as possible so they can investigate it as well.
  15. thanks again ----- One bug I've noticed (even in the previous installer) is that the "run speccy" option at the end of the installer doesn't seem to work. But then again I'm still using the Windows 7 RC 7100 and have UAC disabled Another thing under graphics is Monitor shows as "Generic PnP Monitor on ATI RADEON HD 4800 Series" Yet in the control panel / Devices and Printers, it sees it (correctly) as a "BenQ E2200HD DVI" Opening the properties for the device shows Manufacturer:Unavailable Model: BenQ E2200HD DVI Model Number Unavailable Looking at the driver properties it also happily shows as BenQ E2200HD DVI ------------ Other that that its a snappy as ever, good update
  16. want screenshots of the nicer rendering: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/pictures-story...plorer-ie9.html

Glarys has a higher chance of false positives than ccleaner. While it may find more invalid entries it may also incorrectly identify valid entries. Where as the above users have said, CCleaner takes a safer approach, with few false positives reported on the forums.
  20. I'm glad its fake, cause in the screenshots it looks way to much like just ubuntu with chrome installed... I expect Google to make it at least look like a different OS, even if it is linux based....
  21. I've seen some mildly amusing ones but lol that's funny. To make it funnier, for me, I cant see the the words "we swear" without thinking of Gollum.
  22. It will looks at whatever registry Bart PE has. and as i said even if you could convince (which you cant) ccleaner to see the other Registry, there would be likely many false positives as instead of the main drive being C: it is D: when loaded via boot disc. And as marmite and I said CCleaner isnt a fixer, its a crap cleaner, it cleans junk files and temporary files, and invalid registry entries, not viruses or spyware. If you need help fighting a PC infection create a post in the Spyware Hell section of the forum after following the guide:
  23. I watched that the other day, very good job. Another one, not quite as good quality, but still a good effort. http://www.halifirienthemovie.com/watch.htm
  24. I believe you can load a hive into regedit but doubt you could make ccleaner recognize it. Chances are it wouldn't be able to detect junk very well, as driver letter associations may be different than when loaded as the main OS. Which would render many entries as junk/invalid. It would be better just to get the PC to a point you can log in and use safe mode then run ccleaner from there.
