  1. Seems its a Ubuntu based Linux: http://crunchbanglinux.org/
  2. Its better to use DPI settings This may be the same way your are doing it but anyway if you are using Windows 7 (and maybe vista) Right click the desktop, click personalize, choose display from the left, and choose 125% of maybe 150% if you really neeed to. Running with non-native resolution will usually look wrong with ugly pixels, or just plain blurry.

  5. Not all drivers should be updated, these type of programs can quite often recommend many updates. With drivers unless something is not working or you need some new functionality available in the new drivers they are best left alone. The only drivers I update without thinking is Graphics card drivers, but even then I've frequently had to go back to old drivers to regain full stability. I haven't tried this exact tool so can't give any direct comment on its usefulness. Note: Giveawayoftheday is not infallible, they have accidentally given away junk/spyware before, you should read the comments and do you own search before using the programs they offer.
  6. probably, not worth trying with their reputation: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=25072
  7. Use the speccy.exe /debug Modifier to produce speccy crash file I imagine the 64MB dmp file is a windows dump.
  8. Has the speccy.exe /debug been added to this app yet? if not that would be a handy feature for the above users.

  16. What is the exact problem WMP has? What does it or doesn't it do? Do you get an error message? What is the error message, if there is one?
  17. Yet, an "important system file" should not be stored in a temporary directory. +1 to the Ubuntu bootdisk idea if all the above fails.
  18. I'd say its a good move for security software providers. LOL of course they should, there just as many ignorant users on both platforms.
  19. I always disable UAC. And run other free better security software instead.
  20. +1 auto update/one click update would be great (as long as it downloads the slim version)
  21. If restoring the registry backup solves the issue, you may want to attach the file to a post so we cant have a look. Otherwise if not try the restore.
