  1. @angry_bird I think that your is a different thing and is just an administrative 'wobble' that can happen sometimes with PayPal so it looks like you have been billed twice but you haven't been. See this for a longer explanation:
  2. @annoyed_user That sounds like a PayPal recurring payment has been set up, and PayPal are still taking the money. We do see it occasionally with PayPal. eg. You cancel your CCleaner subscription, but have forgotten (or hadn't realised) that you had also set up a recurring payment with PayPal, and until you cancel that PayPal will still take the payment. https://www.paypal.com/hk/webapps/mpp/automatic-payments If that is what is happening for you then you have to cancel the recurring payment with PayPal and ask them for a refund.
  3. Can you tell us more? What is the message that Microsoft is giving you? Can you screenshot it so we can see exactly what it is?
  4. I done some testing now. It's working fine for me here, the notifications are obeying the settings like they should. When they are turned off then at the scheduled time a flashing CCleaner icon appears breifly in the system tray (as it should do) but that's all. So let's see if we can work out why it's acting differently for you and put it right. Did you have that schedule set in the previous CCleaner versions? I'm thinking that if that was the case then something may have got a bit scrambled when the scheduler was updated as part of the 6.03 update? I'd try reinstalling CCleaner 6.03 over the top of your existing one. You can get the installer here: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds Once downloaded just double click it to reinstall CCleaner. If it's still not behaving after doing that then you could try uninstalling CCleaner and reinstalling from scratch. (You might want to also do a Restart of your machine before reinstalling). Make a note of your licence name and key before uninstalling, you'll need it to re-regiser the new install.
  5. Well the obvious quick way is to turn off the scheduled cleaning and do it manually at a time that suits. Of course that's not a fix. Nobody else has mentioned this (yet) so I'll do some testing here with the scheduler.
  6. Are you using Avira as your AV? There is a known problem with the current Avira version where if you use any temporary file cleaner (not just CCleaner) then various apps will stop working and have to be reinstalled again. That's something that only Avira can fix.
  7. It looks like a server error with the licence lookup page, it has already been reported to the staff for someone to look at. In the meantime as Hazelnut says you should email support who will be able to look your licence up for you.
  8. It's a bug, it shouldn't be doing it for everybody everytime. (PS. The bit about SSDs was just general information, not aimed at anyone specifically). You presumably noticed the apology from CCleaners senior product manager on the other thread? You did make the next post after it. (Not a very big apology I agree).
  9. It's a setting in the new look scheduler, You can change it for an already set schedule by editing the preferences, then on the next screen click Continue and you'll get the notification settings again, same as the screen above.
  10. Has your CCleaner recently (just) updated? It can sometimes take AV's a while to recognise the new version as being legit. So even though you have CCleaner whitelisted your AV may think that the new version is something else that is pretending to be CCleaner.
  11. Just to make it clear - CCleaner 6.03 isn't creating restore points itself when you run it; but it is turning them on in Windows so that Windows can then make them if/when it wants to. PS. The old advice not to enable System Restore with SSD's is just that; old advice. With modern SSD's using System Restore is not really going to 'degrade' them like it could with early SSD's, yes there will be some extra writes but not enough to make a noticable difference to a modern SSD. (Just how useful restore points actually are, and how often they fail to work anyway, is a different debate).
  12. Searching the Web can be an artform, the Web has got full of junk these days and you have to know how to navigate through the dross. Often enclosing your search term in double quotes like above gets a more focused set of finds. (But sometimes it's too focused and you get nothing). Usually in a browser the double quote marks means - results must include what is in the quotes - you can use more than one set of double quote marks around different words in a search. Hope the Net Framework thing sorts it out for you.
  13. I don't understand why you have asked this here rather than on your AV's own website and forum? Even simpler - I've just goggled "XXXXX will not open" (where XXXXX is the name of your particular AV) and the first result found is the answer to your issue in their own FAQ pages. It's exactly as you describe, the AV is running but you can't open the UI to get to the settings. It's usually a problem with one of your Windows Net Framework versions. Use 'Check for Updates' in Wndows to make sure that you have all the latest Net Framework versions you need. If after updating you find that you still need to repair your NetFramework versions then see this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/install/repair PS. I have removed your video for security reasons, which was the only thing actually telling us what the name of your AV is. It isn't needed anyway, just google like above and go to your AV's own website.
  14. What antivirus are you using? I don't want to pre-judge but as this seems to be affecting Word, Excel, and Outlook then it may be a known issue with a certain AV. If it is the same issue then we know a work-around. (Although what you say is a bit different from what has previously been reported about that particular issue).
  15. Yours is the second report about 'Try again' with the licence lookup. I've noted it to the staff so they can check if there is an issue. It may just be server maintenance going on, or it may be a fault? For the meantime the suggestion has to be the same (sorry) try it again later.
  16. No idea why the licence lookup may not be working. (Server maintenance, server fault, other ?) Maybe as it says try again later. If you have a subscription then see: https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020674812-How-do-I-manage-my-CCleaner-subscription-#how-do-i-manage-my-ccleaner-subscription--0-0 Bit if the server is down, for whatever reason, then that may not be online either.
  17. More details please. Ie. Where did you buy your licence from? First thing first though - Did you check your email spam folder in case the purchase confirmation (with the key) ended up in there for some reason?
  18. It isn't a bug, it's simply the way that Windows works. Those options (Smart Cleaning and Auto Updating) each have to run a background process to work properly. So if either one, or both, are enabled then Windows puts an icon in the system tray to show that CCleaner is running something in the background.
  19. When did you email them? Support are usually very quick to reply, generally the same day if not within hours. Have you checked your email spam folder to see if their reply got put in there?
  20. Which version of Windows are you running? Try Right-Clicking on CCleaner and select 'Run as administrator'. If you can get it open that way then go to Performance Optimiser and 'Wake Up' whatever you had Slept. Being honest though I don't see how simply sleeping some apps would lose your Admin privileges. You may have something different going on, it sounds as if Windows may have put you in a default 'guest' account for some reason, that can happen sometimes.
  21. @Nepumuk Dies scheint jetzt behoben zu sein, ich kann jetzt die Liste "Aktuell" sehen. This seems to be fixed, I can now see the "Up to date" list.
  22. When you say CCleaner is starting with Windows do you mean that CCleaner is opening a window on screen, or that it is putting an icon in the system tray? There are two things that will put an icon in the tray when Windows starts: Options>Updates>"Keep CCleaner updated automatically". Options>Smart Cleaning>"Enable Smart Cleaning". Either one of those if turned on needs to run as a background task, so Windows puts an icon in the tray to show that the background task is running. For the second issue with the Quick Access shortcuts - are you using Health Check or Custom Clean? If It's Custom Clean then what settings do you have for Windows Exploter and System?
  23. Please check Hazelnut's advice. And also the setting for 'Startup Boost' in Edge itself, turn it off. But you still haven't confirmed just what problem you are having. Is it a popup, or a browser opening? Does it happen all the time or only occasionally? You belive it's caused by CCleaner, it may be, but does it only happen after you have run CCleaner? What happens on the machines that still have CCleaner installed if you don't actually run CCleaner?
