  1. They probably can't afford another Win8x, more people could potentially leave to non-Windows tablets.
  2. Something else to check with the speakers if they're powered is an electricity blackout and sometimes a fluctuation of the electricity can cause some to stop working until they're powered-off, unplugged, plugged in, and then powered-on.
  3. If someone is looking at videos online that would be an easy amount to achieve, however allot of people also have their browsers automatically delete the cache upon closing.
  4. Most people won't read it or help files in general. However to understand the new feature it's useful, and now available in the docs: http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/ccleaner-settings/changing-monitoring-settings-ccleaner-free
  5. I have Comodo Dragon install it. Can't say much about it though, although it's supposed to protect against malicious sites.
  6. I remember all the conspiracy theories about it such as Microsoft will track your every move, etc.
  7. That's an old version of CCleaner! Try updating from here to see if the newest version cleans more.
  8. That would be something advanced which really shouldn't be handled by default because some programs (not all) will break when removing their help and lang files, and some will request a repair installation. To remove such files look into making winapp2.ini entries for your programs. I personally place a lang remove batch file with the installers I download, so whenever I download a new version of a program I can immediately remove the lang and help files I don't need.
  9. There's official documentation available now, see here: http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/ccleaner-settings/changing-monitoring-settings-ccleaner-free
  10. When it's out I'll have to play on a Win10 machine before I dare spend money on one. Hopefully it can be the next version of Windows I use and leave XP behind.
  11. Documentation has been added to the docs site: Changing monitoring settings (CCleaner Free) It can be read at: https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner/ccleaner-settings/changing-monitoring-settings-ccleaner-free
  12. CCleaner.exe is also signed with a Symantec VeriSign digital signature for validation, I don't know if that could occasionally require some Internet connection or not depending upon how your system is configured and the security software you have installed.
  13. I have no idea if this will work, however if you wish to continue using CCleaner I'd say give it a try: 1. Uninstall CCleaner. 2. Reboot/Restart your computer. 3. Download CCleaner from: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds What this does is a clean install to remove old settings which could be corrupt.
  14. That's because Piriform never explain a new feature, it's left up to end-users to figure it out up until they post it on the docs site http://www.piriform.com/docs.
  15. CCleaner uses the exact same uninstaller that Windows Add/Remove uses. So no it won't search for leftovers like Revo Uninstaller will and the tool you mentioned.
  16. FileHippo either had or has advertisements that confuse people into downloading the wrong thing which was discussed on the forums here awhile ago. That and the practices of other download sites is why we commonly ask people "where did you download it from" since it's becoming a very common trend nowadays for download sites to display ads with the "download" text written in it that has absolutely nothing to do with the software people actually want to download.
  17. If you can't get it to turn-off: If you're using the Install Version and if you're comfortable editing the registry read this post: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=41858&page=2&do=findComment&comment=253947 If you're using the Portable Version read this post to edit ccleaner.ini: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=41890&do=findComment&comment=253979
  18. Obviously the monitoring has upset some people more than previous issues because lets face it it really was an IN THE FACE option nobody expected and disabling it wasn't easy. As always people will vent on an open forum when something goes wrong, if their venting is within reason and not vulgar I ignore it. Thing is the monitoring can be completely disabled and completely forgotten about, as in you never even have to use it which I'll be doing myself. I remember a similar fuss months ago about the File Finder, if you don't like a part of the program don't use it, it's really that simple -- think of all the stuff that's in Windows, we surely don't use portions of it we don't want to. Some people ask for features to be added so they'll only need one cleaning tool installed instead of several which is understandable, and if the developers agree it's worthwhile its really up to them to include it, but we are not forced to use every single feature.
  19. I share those thoughts. Someone else also reported a problem with /AUTO.
  20. There's also some discussion about it here: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=41858&page=2&do=findComment&comment=253911 On my system it works correctly.
  21. Download the newest version at: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds
  22. The Portable Build (the zip you said you prefer) allows you to input your license key in: Options > About, and then click Upgrade To Pro
