  1. I'll backup all of those in the screenshot, which will be happening soon in about an hour or so. I had to cleanup the computer allot "spyware-ish" cookies. After running CCleaner just once it makes it boot significantly faster, and it's also usable faster. Had to manually install the MVPS hosts file since their installer fails, which was verified when I checked with HostsExpert (sadly the developer website is gone, but I have HostsExpert archived).
  2. Thanks Hazelnut. I'll have to select that option when on that Win10 laptop again to do an actual/proper full backup.
  3. Win10 creates 3 partitions? So in other words I need to go back and let it backup all that stuff?
  4. I finally got around to creating a Macrium Reflect full backup of my mother's Win10 Dell laptop last night. Macrium had something in it to backup everything needed for the operating system. I however only chose drive C:\. On a Win10 system is it alright to only backup drive C:\, or do I actually have to backup all of those other factory created partitions?
  5. See if this is the problem: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=44795
  6. Same cosmetic bug "feature" exists on WinXP.
  7. I always find it fascinating how fast Macrium Reflect is, it creates a full drive C: backup of my system to another internal hard disk in 4 minutes (when the faster beginning area of the hard disk has available space), and about 5-6 minutes (when the hard disk only has available space in the slower near the end areas). Restoration is under 40 minutes - probably must less time than that because I've never actually timed it since when I come back it's always done and successful.
  8. Firefox 45.0.1 Edit: Just checked again, now it works fine in Firefox.
  9. Perhaps they'll move the button placement after reading this. I complained about that years ago, and nothing was done. I always use the Wizard, so when wanting to re-use it again and then having to go into Advanced Mode is more than crazy it's completely frustrating and some expletives. It's not quick, ideal, or user friendly. It's quicker to just place a keyboard shortcut key in the Recuva shortcut, then exit Recuva, then hit CTRL+ALT+R to load the program again instead of fiddling with a sub-section just to run the Wizard again.
  10. Don't forget the password! Perhaps just put sensitive stuff in a particular folder, then encrypt that one folder.
  11. Factory installed Win10, supposedly it never had a previous installed OS on it.
  12. Just got a 2 TB Seagate USB 3.0/2.0 hard disk (not SSD) today for my mothers laptop so I can easily do backups primarily with Macrium Reflect. I was surprised my WinXP Pro SP3 system could even use it, so I backed up a ton of my stuff. From what I've read and been told XP shouldn't even support it (even the box it came it stated Windows 7, 8, 10), but go figure it works flawless in XP with the disk capacity even being reported correctly, hell I can even defrag it. --------- My mothers Win10 Dell laptop that she bought new in Nov 2015 in my opinion is stupid slow and I'd never imagine something so new being so frustratingly slow, and she bought the fastest processor Dell had available and some other "upgrades." It literally has to be running for a full 5 minutes before I consider it actually usable when it stops acting like an old clunker, and it does that even after being defragmented with Windows Defrag which seemly needs a million passes (exaggeration it's more like 7-9 passes I think) to completely defrag the drive with damn near nothing on it other than the huge OS install with a very small handful of programs. She's even commented on it being slower than hell numerous times, and wanted to know why all the graphics drivers crashes popping up on screen when my old XP computer has none of those issues. At least yesterday Dell patched the graphics drivers for her to stop the constant crashing to a black screen. With Avira Free Antivirus installed on my old WinXP (the only bottleneck on the computer) it's about a 2 1/2 minute wait for usability - much less time if using Panda Free Antivirus (but it's so buggy at this time I won't use it).
  13. Maybe start an online petition for Samsung to directly support it.
  14. It's not in CCleaner Portable: So it looks like both of us are correct.
  15. Upgrade offers are buried away from normal view in the About button, it's not plastered on the main GUI area seen everywhere like so many other programs do.
  16. I liked it on Win98 when it would give the "theme" if how Win98 looked could even be called a theme a slightly nicer look. Although some of what it did way back then could be done manually, and without some program running at startup.
  17. Not the only software to recently add Win10 support. Some development teams can be small, or be left at the back of the line to get development kits, etc.
  18. It means Low Priority. Info available here: http://www.piriform.com/docs/defraggler/defraggler-settings/priority-and-shutdown-settings
  19. As seen in the Announcements area of the forum newer versions than you have installed 5.13, 5.14, and 5.15 fixed bugs, in fact most version updates fix bugs. I can't remember any change log that hasn't mentioned a bug fix. However they usually never detail what exactly was fixed, just "Minor bug fixes." I would recommend updating to the most current version, since updating may solve the issue.
  20. Flash should be disabled, and then only enabled when you absolutely need it!
  21. Where did you download CCleaner from? There is no version 15.12.5431 as the topic title reads, perhaps you meant 5.12.5431 which did exist and it's old, the most current version is 5.15.5513 available here.
  22. CCleaner has had many reports of the installer not working for months (maybe years by now), which is often thought of as being the Standard installer and security software (anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spyware, firewall) blocking the installation due to the Google software offers it has. One solution is to wait for the Slim build (the installer without any Google software offers) to be released, it's usually about 1 week after the Standard installer was released. Or use the Portable ZIP build which is released at the same time as the Standard installer. I personally always use the Portable ZIP and have no blockage of using the program, no false positives, no problems whatsoever as it pertains to updating - albeit manually updating.
  23. 100% anonymity for a WinXP Pro SP3 computer. Like all sites it's way off on my geo-location, detects my DNS incorrectly but had the IP address correct. Doesn't detect the adblocking software both uBlock Origin (In Firefox) and Adblock Plus (in SRWare Iron). Sort of an ok site but I take the results with a grain of salt. Edit: I think the biggest security is by not having Adobe Flash or Java installed!
