  1. They should make a huge thing on the Win7 box saying "There is no Internet Explorer in this version of Windows because of the European Commission" ..I don't know what we'll have in Switzerland...

    Cometbird

Hm...Saying it is a FF clone only on the "Develop" page is not nice.
  3. There's a better 16x16 icon now
  4. Fixed for next release ...Sorry for the stupid mistakes

    Freeware!

In Windows 7, you can uninstall IE8. Of course, you can't uninstall Trident (IE's rendering engine), but you can uninstall IE8.
  7. That's a Beta. If they released it like a normal product, normal users would download it thinking it is a finished product, and then if there was something wrong with it, lots of users would be angry. I think forcing users who want to download it to sign up is a way to make sure people know this is a beta.

Opera have apparently no way other than suing Microsoft to promote their product. This is stupid. Are they still thinking it is impossible to have more market share than 1% because of IE ? The European Commission now (thanks Opera) want Microsoft to include all other browsers in Windows. ...They want Microsoft to advertise their competitors. Their "Opera Unite" which would "reinvent the web" was really not a revolution. FilesOverMiles is better - no need to download anything or create a profile.

I'd try Opera if Opera Software was a bit less stupid
  10. Good ...Small UI bug : When the "Use custom drive map colors" string is too long, the Edit button is badly placed : Another bug : There is no way to change the "More Colors..." string (the one in drive map colors edit window) in translations.

    Wipe

Select the files you want to delete. Then right click >> Secure Overwrite Highlighted. You can choose the Secure Overwrite type in options (Simple, DOD 5220.22-M, NSA, Gutmann)
  13. Maybe, if we are lucky, we'll have it in 2011
  14. ...Necroposting, anyone ? This topic is one year old...
  15. Open My Computer. In Folder Options (or something like this, my computer isn't in English), untick "Hide protected system files (recommended)" Then go to C:\$Recycle.Bin\ Is there something inside ?
  16. It's OK, man, we understood you did not like Microsoft and were a Linux fan - like a lot of young people nowadays, saying "microsoft is bad linux is good!!1!!1" is very popular - , no need to say it everywhere... Or, if you want, start a Linux topic.
  17. Normal : Download the .exe and run it. Don't forget to exclude then Yahoo Tollbar installation. Portable : No installer. Download the .zip and extract it somewhere. Slim : Like Normal, but without toolbar. There is no .setup file...Unless I'm blind... For the Registry things : Dont believe everything you see on Internet. Cleaning Registry is useless, and I don't think defragging it makes a noticeable performance improvement...
  18. I only use Avast and the Windows firewall. Never had a virus. People using lots of anti-malware, anti-virus, anti-something, anti-somethingelse, etc., are paranoid
  19. No virus ? Are you sure about that ? http://www.v3.co.uk/vnunet/news/2239126/wo...-routers-botnet ...100,000 computers infected. If you multiply this by 90 (because Linux has ~1% market share and Windows has ~90%)...this becomes 9 millions...Conficker, anyone ?

    Freeware!

Sorry, but this is wrong. The only reason you don't need an anti-virus on Linux is because there are only a few virus for Linux. Secunia says Linux Kernel 2.6 has 342 vulnerabilities. 6% of those are unpatched...
  21. Every company in the world do that...Advertise their product and say it's better than the others.
  22. hiberfile.sys >> Used if Hibernation is enabled. pagefile.sys >> Pagefile. Used when you don't have enough RAM. C:\System Volume Information\ >> Those are System Restore points. You can defrag pagefile.sys using PageDefrag. (google it)
  23. When you analyze, what are the files that are still fragmented ? pagefile.sys, hiberfile.sys, files beginning with a $ (like $MFT), files located in C:\System Volume Information\ ?
