Download the Secunia Personal Software Inspector here : http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/ and then scan your computer. You can use the Simple interface (just click "Scan" and look at the results) or the Advanced interface, better but a little harder. It will not help you to remove things, but to update them....Things like "QuickTime 3.0" or "XP SP2" are old. And have lots of security vulnerabilities.

Same problem on my computer. If I go in the options, the language is set to French. But it's in English.

Download it. It is good. And turn on automatic Windows Updates (Windows key + Break/Pause key(this will open a new window with some tabs in the top), tab Automatic Updates - or something like this, my computer is in French so I don't know its exact name in English.)

Maybe there were no fragmented files before ? Or only some, and Defraggler cannot defrag them (like $MFT, $Bitmap, $MFTMirr, ...)

Try a Freespace Defrag (and allow fragmentation)

...Changing those names would mean creating [the number of "empty" MFT entries] 1 Kb files, with a stupid name, and then delete them.

Other mistakes...I checked all, this time...I know, it's a triple-post, but if I simply edit, no one will see it. Under Options >> Settings, "Normal file deletion" is translated "Effacement normale du fichier" Correct translation is "Effacement normal des fichiers" (without e at the end of "normal") Same thing for the Secure file deletion, it is "des fichiers" and not "du fichier" (except if there's only one file, but that never happens) And in the same location, for the two "add something to recycle bin context menu", the Recycle Bin is not "poubelle" but "corbeille" (it means the same thing, but Windows says "corbeille") And under Options >> Exclude, "Add registry" is not "Ajouter au registre" (this means "add [something] to registry") but "Ajouter une cl? du registre". And in the Registry Cleaning section, there is a "s" at the end of "Installateur" (because there is more than one "installateur") and a "s" at the end of "Invalide" in "ActiveX et Class Invalide" And when you clean some registry entries, a "s" is missing in "fait" (because there are more than one "changement", so it is "changements", and "faits") And it is "Toutes les erreurs de ce type" and not "Tous les types". And in the Cleaner section, under Windows tab, in "Windows Explorer", it is "Ex?cuter (dans le Menu D?marrer" and not "D?marrer (dans le menu d?marrer)". If I understand "file shredder" good, it already exists. Options >> Settings >> Secure deletion : Secure file deletion (slower). A simple overwrite will do the job. No need of Gutmann. (Offtopic : Oh, I just saw another french translation mistake...)

If you have some reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally important files that you need to delete, you can select them all (Ctrl + Click on each file), and right click >> Rename.. and enter some stupid name like 0. Then all the files will have this name, plus a number. And you can delete them. But MrRon said that CCleaner already do this.
