  1. No, Flash. Had those issues before using avast 5.

    Won't defrag

Windows key + R (that will open the Run... prompt) >> type cmd >> type chkdsk /R If needed, reboot.
  3. No. If users really want to delete their system restore points, well, it's not Defraggler's problem. A lot of people seem to think it is safe to delete restore points since they are "useless" and use a lot of space. That's wrong. I don't think Piriform wants users complaining about how they had a bug and can't restore their system since Defraggler deleted the restore points. For the "lite CCleaner" idea, I think it would be better, in the cleanup prompt, to show a link to CCleaner.com and say it will remove junk even better.
  4. I tried it with Firefox, IE8 and IE9 preview. None of those could show all images... Broken test ?
  5. Are the AntiVir virus labs closed on week-ends ? I uploaded a file to VirusTotal yesterday, and Avira's definitions were from Friday...

    Won't defrag

Try this : Action menu >> Advanced >> Check drive for errors.
  7. YouTube nearly always does that for me.
  8. Download Revo Uninstaller Portable, and try to uninstall the Pro version http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninst...load_other.html
  9. That'd be useful, but...what if CCleaner deletes a file a program wanted to use ? "Hey, where's my file ? I just wrote it seconds ago, and it was erased when I wasn't looking !" :-)

    avast 5

    There's a Mail shield.
  11. If you disable IE History cleaning, what happens ?
  12. Never use "Wipe Free space", unless you just deleted files you wanted to delete using a secure deletion. Never clean "Old Prefetch data", this will slow down Windows. http://www.edbott.com/weblog/?p=743 If you want CCleaner to include files you chose in the Include section, clean "Custom Files and Folders".
  13. Yes, but you should upgrade. There's one new version each month or so. This means 2.14 is 15 months old...
  14. Following symbolic links by default is not a good idea. Windows Vista/7 have a lot of links used for compatibility (since some devs don't use environment variable but hardcode the paths to the files they want)... There are a lot of endless loops (like AppData\Local\Application Data\Local\Application Data\Local\...)..
  15. Please upgrade CCleaner - latest is 2.29. Did you use the Registry cleaner ?
  16. That is what I call a "random name" - very long, hexadecimal nonsense. This is a System Restore Point. You can't defrag it. And it would be pointless to defrag it. If you really want to have a fully defragged drive, and are sure that your computer is working properly, you can disable System Restore and re-enable it.
  17. Windows key + R (Run...) >> type services.msc >> look at the "Windows Firewall" service. Is it disabled ? PS : How do you know OA works great ?
  18. He probably asked that to an official Piriform adress, and then received the answer, which told him to ask the question here instead. I think Piriform earns money with the Yahoo toolbar.

    Auto cleaning

A cleaner with an automated Registry clean is a bad cleaner. Period.
  20. And some people will think "hey, I've got the new Windows 7 but my friend who has Windows XP and BitDefender too didn't have any problems !", since nearly all XP users are x86 users.
  21. Bump... A LOT of users think WFS should be used with a normal cleaning...
  22. Are the fragmented files in C:\System Volume Information\ with random names ?
  23. The last time an AV had a FP in Windows's own files was AVG, I think. But it was only one FP. hazelnut >> I'd rather say "Nearly all x64 BitDefender users"
