  1. I use this program for delaying some programs at startup: http://www.r2.com.au/software.php?page=2&show=startdelay
  2. But hey come on, 50 seconds... Distance to water is 220 feet (67 m). Here's some quotes from Wikipedia: After a fall of approximately four seconds jumpers hit the water at 75 miles per hour (120 km/h), which is nearly always fatal. The count exceeded 1,200 when the count ended in 2005, and new suicides were averaging one every two weeks. There were 34 bridge jump suicides in 2006 whose bodies were recovered As of 2006, only 26 people are known to have survived the jump. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Gate_Bridge#Suicides
  3. It's about 4 seconds. I think that you meant 5 seconds? I have seen that documentary (The Bridge) too.
  4. Eraser: http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/ It integrates to Recycle bin context menu and you can secure delete the content. You can also wipe the unused space with it. It's free.
  5. Try boot to 'Safe mode'. http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm#02
  6. Kind of amazing, that he survived. But i think he got a few broken bones. Edit: Typo in the title, should be survived.

    Spybot update

    I think it's a little bit overkill.
  8. MRU's will be deleted (from the registry). And maybe some .log (ETC) files. Result is less unneeded files in your hard drive and clean MRU list(s). Edit: For 'Sun Java' it deletes cache files (cached Java files), from this location: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache.
  9. No wallpaper this time.

  11. Mostly MRU (most recently used files) list. Also can clean some .log files for Antivirus/antispyware.

    Spybot update

Is it still ok to go with 1.4.0.3 version? I don't use Spybot often.
  14. I have mentioned about this very long time ago, but this thing still exist. So CCleaner is set to delete QTPlayerSession.xml from this folder/path: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Apple Computer\QuickTime\. But if you delete that file, some QT settings are restored to DEFAULTS (in case you have changed them). Those settings are stored to that QTPlayerSession.xml file. Here's a sample of the content of that file: <key>QTPrefsFullScreenRGBCol</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralAutoPlay</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralHideEmptySel</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralMRUListLimit</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralOpenNew</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralPauseOnSwitch</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralShowCC</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralShowEqualizer</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralShowHotPix</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralShowTC</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralShowTCAbsoluteFrames</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralSoundBack</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralSoundFront</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>QTPrefsGeneralUseHighQual</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>QTPrefsOTHFullScreenPresMovie</key> <integer>3</integer> <key>QTPrefsSTDFullScreenPresMovie</key> <integer>3</integer> <key>QTPrefsWSFullScreenPresMovie</key> <integer>3</integer> BTW, here's my previous post about this same subject - no aswers: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=6248&hl=
  15. So that "Command Software" key was another key/folder, not a sub folder of "Antivirus" key?
  16. I think that those image files are corrupted for some reason. I also think that the reason is NOT CCleaner. I can't be sure of that, though. Does this happen only with those specific pictures or with every JPEG/BMP files? Btw, try to run chkdsk.
  17. Yes, it states that it's empty, but you could still double check it from the registry.

    The Kiss.

Are you sure it's a real photo? Or can it be work of PhotoShop??
  19. So you want to cut between the frames?
  20. Actually, it seems a good idea, since registry changes basicly all the time. Also, because ERUNT does the backup so fast, it won't affect on Windows startup time. Is it possible to enable this option, after ERUNT is already installed?
  21. Just used canned air a second time. There wasn't much dust, but hopely it's still a little cleaner now.
  22. Yes, ERUNT is very good. And it's lightning fast. Just made a backup with it a while ago. Btw, how often do you backup your registry? I do it about once a month.
