    Adobe Flash

I think it's recommened to use Flash own Uninstaller. Direct DL link: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashpl...lash_player.exe The Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller is a valuable tool for troubleshooting and testing detection schemes.
  2. Yeah, i always use the uninstaller, before intalling new version.

    Avast! 4.8

How is that? Anyway, it's always good to stop AV real-time protection, when playing games.

    Avast! 4.8

The AVG scanning engine actually runs in the kernel (in the kernel-mode driver avgcore.sys) so you won't see its memory usage in the Task Manager. Anyway, mem usage is not an (big) issue, if you have plenty of RAM.

    Avast! 4.8

I don't use Email -and WebShield, so i have 3 Avast processes running. I DO use Network -and P2P Shield, but they don't run as a separate process.

    Avast! 4.8

Don't know, havent tried yet. --- rridgely: "...you can create a new anti-rootkit task in the Enhanced User Interface, if you have the Professional version..." Btw, they are going to release a stand-alone rootkit scanner soon. ... That spyware protection works in real-time also.

    Avast! 4.8

http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-4-home_pro-...on-history.html -avast! now contains a built-in anti-rootkit protection -avast! now comes with a built-in anti-spyware protection -new self-defense function to prevent active malware from terminating avast! processes as well as corrupting avast! files and registry items Way to go Avast! Edit: Found this message by Avast forum moderator, concerning anti-rootkit and spyware protection: Yes, those features are integrated into the ordinary scan... so there are no special options (well, you can create a new anti-rootkit task in the Enhanced User Interface, if you have the Professional version, but basically you can say that avast! protects you against spyware and rootkits automatically).

  15. Well, i don't use that Java updater. It's better to download new version manually. Of course you can use the updater, if you like.
  16. The proper way is to first uninstall current version, delete leftover folders and remove leftover registry entries. Then you can install new version from the clean table.
  17. Always uninstall the current version on your computer, before installing new version.
  18. New database update available; 21 new items.
  19. Especially toilet paper is not good. Always use a microfiber cloth (made for optical systems). They are inexpensive. You can wash them many times. From Wikipedia: To clean a microfiber cloth, wash with warm soapy water and rinse well.
  20. Proper microfiber cloth for optical surfaces should not left any lint.
  21. - Like i mentioned in my earlier message, this happened to me also. -I recently bought lens cleaning microfiber cloths (dry). I dampened it in a warm water. It did a very good job. Screen is now very clean and that film left by wet wipes is gone. So a lighty dampened microfiber cloth is highly recommened for LCD screens. If the screen is just dusty, then a dry microfiber cloth might be enough. Edit: Btw, those wet screen wipes are good for cleaning all kinds of electronical equipments, like DVD-players & TVs. Removes all the dust very effectively.
