  1. It's good, but it's slow.
  2. I use BitComet and it's very good. http://www.bitcomet.com/
  3. 18, when browser is not running. Note, that you have to minus the taskmanager process, since it's only running when you open TaskManager. Btw, can you count the "System idle process" as an actual process? Also, i start up the Spool service only when i'm going to print. Service is set to "Manual" and i have made a batch files to quickly start and stop the service. Here's how you do a batch file to start or stop the service: Open Notepad and type NET START "name of the service" (with quotes) and save it as a .bat file. To stop service, just replace START with STOP. Here's an example: NET START "Spooler" It's not easy to notice, if there's a virus or some other pesky process running. I can tell immediately, if i got some new/unwanted process(es) running.
  4. Yes, SpywareBlaster does fill up your registry with those zone entries. But something's got to give, since it doesn't run in the background and that way take resources. I basicly use just Ad-Aware SE for scanning now a days. I scan with it about once or maybe twice a month. Why so rarely? Because i know that my system stays clean, as long as i don't install any crappy/suspicious software (which i don't do). There really is not any meaning to scan every week or even every day!, just to found out that my system is clean. If you really HAVE TO SCAN very often (you get crapware all the time), then you have do something; change your actions, change your browser, set your OS more secure, or something... First thing is: DON'T GET INFECTED. I also use some other spyware/virus scanners every now and then, just to be sure that my system is clean.
  5. Start>Run>type regedit. Then browse to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
  6. Does that program run in the background?
  7. I got it. It founds a lot of false positive entries. Not very good, IMO. GUI is simple and clear though, like you said. edit: It founds basicly same stuff than RegScrubXP.
  8. Here's one pretty nice registry cleaner called TweakNow RegCleaner: http://www.tweaknow.com/RegCleaner.html I already got older version and just installed the latest (free) version. It don't find any new invalid entries from my registry though. Neither no false positive entries. It scans very fast. Note to check "Expert" mode for more thorough scan. Current Version: 3.0.1 OS: Windows 2000/XP/XP x64/2003/Vista License: Freeware
  9. I got air filter on my case and it block dust pretty well. I clean it from time to time.
  10. I personally don't dare to use a beta version of such a major update. Waiting for the final release...

  14. Here's a better link to those Thermaltake cables: http://thermaltakeusa.com/2005/accessories.../RoundCable.htm -Compliant to all current standards(ATA66/100/133) and backward compatible with Ultra 33 -Coated with a flexible PVC pipe for added shielding and wiring protection -Minimal clutter inside the case and better air flow to efficiently cool -Pull tab at each connector for easy installation -Allows for easy cable management -150 M Byte/s maximum transfer rate edit: Of course there's no need to change cables for your SATA drives, since they already got slim cables.
  15. They are not. They are very inexpensive. I bought my Thermaltake IDE-cables for 6 euros each and floppy cable for 2 euros. http://tienda.ndd.com.mx/images/thermaltake_a2049.JPG
  16. Looks cool. Another movie that i'm waiting for is Rambo IV.
  17. I got the same Seagate hard drive (+ 2 newer sata drives). That drive has worked fine for me over 3 years. My HDD temps are about 30-33?C. Your HDD runs very, very cool. I'm not using it for anything. I'm just interested. Not everyone pay enough attention to their PC ventilation, even though it's very important for stable and healthy computing to have a cool system. For good ventilation and airflow, it's recommened to have 2 case fans; 1 on the front to suck cool air IN and 1 on back of the case to blow warm air OUT. Demonstration. Also recommened to change your old, flat ribbon cables to round cables for better airfow.
  18. Thanks for that! Might be handy sometimes!

  20. I got this passive cooling solution on my R9550 card: http://acsonline.be/acscommerce/catalog/im...m80d_hp_f_p.gif I bought that 'cause card's own fan got broken. Atleast it's an quiet solution. Note, that case ventilation have to be in order, if you use that kind of passive cooling.
  21. But you have got it, right?
  22. I have installed many .msi files, but i don't got that Config.msi folder.
