It's true Dennis that just like Login says the "discovery" you make is something others always seemed to have used for years. At the risk of everyone saying "I've been doing that for years" or even "why bother!" ...does anyone else start a scan running, and then press the start button and leave the menu up to prevent the screensaver coming on?

Are you using xp or vista? If you rename it with the .reg ext does it not then have a merge option whrn you right-click it? When you say rename do you put .reg straight after the numbers? (yes) You do not need a program to open it with, you either right-click merge, or try just double clicking.

Look in the CCleaner application tab and see if it is listed, if so make sure it is unticked.
