Tasgandy
From Windows Insider Program: "We just wrapped up our annual developers conference, Build 2016 – where we introduced some great new Windows 10 features." "Build 2016, it was stated that in the eight months since launch, Windows 10 is off to the fastest start in Windows history, with over 270 million active devices, outpacing Windows 7 in the same time frame by 145%." https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2016/03/30/windows-10-anniversary-update-brings-new-experiences-and-developer-opportunity/ Makes for interesting reading. Moderators Nergal Posted April 13, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 13, 2016 Windows 10 is a phone without the phone part. I still think Win 7 is superior as an OS. in what way?, just because it has an app store and Apps as well as applications? One is perfectly able to ignore those aspects and use it like any other Windows machine, that's what I do. Corona
That's what I do too. With a few tweaking apps I got it pretty much running/looking the same as my old Win 7. I'm not saying Win 10 is 'bad', but the whole commercial focus was quite a bit unneeded (for me).

Moderators Nergal Posted July 29, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 29, 2016 Maybe I'm misreading this, but it seemed like the article was only stating that some policies were being retired (a very normal action between OS versions); granted they're probably quite popular GP branches, but it didn't sound like it was the entire GP (perhaps I misread it though) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Moderators hazelnut Posted July 29, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 29, 2016 If you read the article I linked to Nergal you will see the things Win 10 Pro users are no longer able to do, eg.. Turn off Customer Experience, Windows Tips etc Also have a read of the comments under the article to gauge the annoyance level of this decision.. I did read it, and described what I read, which you confirmed. As I said, while they may be popular policies, it by no means the removal is all of them. Moderators hazelnut Posted July 29, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 29, 2016 But I paid for the ability to implement those polices when I bought the Pro version (Actually Win 8.1 Pro before upgrade last year) Now Pro is just turning into Win 10 Home Guess they want pro users to up buy to Enterprise (what a surprise) Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
login123
Well, they gave it away for a while, very few people took it. Then they sneaked it in, then they pushed it in. That gave rise to at least 6 upgrade blocking softwares, also free. As of right now, last day of the freebie, about 20% of desktop users have adopted win 10. Probably just the number of busy folks who don't have time to watch every move their computer makes, plus a few early adopters. Now they are removing several important functionalities from the freebie they gave away. Those are important features they are removing. It's worth thinking about why they chose those particular ones. I'm just glad I imaged 8.1 before installing win 10. Question: What is the likelihood that microsoft will somehow lock the win 10 upgrade in so that one can not restore an image? That is a serious question, not rhetorical. At this point I wouldn't put anything past microsoft. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud.
