Moderators hazelnut Posted June 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 2, 2011 We come across it all the time, going to a website we visit everyday only to find it won't load. Is it just me you wonder? I use this site all the time to check if it's down for every one or just me. For this forum I would just put forum.piriform.com in the box. No need to bother with the www bit. http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Capman
Although I have seen this site before, I have never bookmarked it, this time I will, plus I can make better use of it in other ways too. Thanks hazelnut. Edit: I probably shouldn't question the decision of a mod (but then when does that normally stop me lol), but does this thread belong in the software section? I would of thought the lounge would of been more like it.
redhawk
If a site goes down I use the traceroute tool for linux or tracert.exe in Windows. Richard S.

And Richard this site is meant for users to be able to bookmark for quick use, and for those who may not be aware of how to use tracert. Moderators Andavari Posted June 2, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 2, 2011 I've bookmarked it, and ironically enough immediately after using it I had no access to YouTube, then no access to anything whatosever so I just rebooted my DSL modem, then rebooted Windows to fix the problem. Just did the same but everything works OK still. Did get a rather blunt message: It's just you. http://forum.piriform.com is up. Check another site? The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers. Moderators Nergal Posted June 10, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 10, 2011 I love and have been saved by this site a number of times ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. JDPower
I use the Firefox extension TryAgain which automatically reloads a dead page (at whatever time period you choose) and also offers direct link to the dead page on DownForEveryone, very useful. Oh and for a little amusement try putting www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com into the downforeveryone box
