Will resetting it cause any problems? An update changed the settings, and the settings are causing a lot of Warnings and Errors: Service Control Manager, DHCP Client Service, NetBois over Tcpip servie, Explorer. exe, Internet & Network Config's are all changed to improper settings, and the list goes on.

Ethernet cables/wires are quite inexpensive. In addition, running the wires will increase your speed on the other computers. I don't have a place to run wires so the rest of my network is wireless. The wireless computers loose 1/2 of their download speed performance, which may or may not matter to you. I'm going to check the 2.4GHz interference because I'm 90% positive that it's 2.5GHz that interferes. All of my phones are 2.4GHz, and I've never had a problem. I'll confirm that though. Networking is fun!

I call people Rock Star when when I'm pleased or impressed with something that they do. It's a silly compliment. And in this case a thank you too. Even though my computer isn't beeping at me anymore (thank God) I'm still getting a lot of errors relating to my BIOS settings, and the MS's instructions are way too high maintenance. Hi 26001993, Did you Run CCleaner, and use it's Unistall Programs feature? Are you saying that CCleaner's - Uninstall Programs's - can't uninstall it?

Hey MrG. I installed Beta2, and everything seems good. The only odd thing is that the list Programs to Uninstall doesn't match my Add/Remove Programs in my control panel. About 5 things are missing on CC's list, but nothing is crashing or doing anything crazy. Thanks!!

Why didn't you like FF? I just switched to it a few days ago, and got the IE Tab add-in, and it's been awesome so far. Pluse IE Beta is really buggy, alot of people have uninstalled it. I don't understand what happened. I lucked out because somehow the problem fixed itself. The same thing happened to a lady on Majorgeeks forum, and it happened to both of us on the same morning. Her computer didn't fix itself, and now she's been without a keyboard for 2 days. Microsoft posted a security bulletin (MS05-051) about my error codes & warnings which stated that update KB909444 is the cause. This update had TONS of problems associated with it. It was hard to read through, and I didn't understand a lot of it. It had something to do with BIOS, COM, MSDTC & lots of other things. I finally rebooted today, and it went okay. I seriously lucked out because I wouldn't have known what to do otherwise. My computer is pretty old, and I thought that it had finally died.

How does one go about resetting BIOS?

I think that it fixed itself (shrug) Event Mngr Listed * Source i8042 can't set keyboard indicator lights * Source i8042 can't set keyboard typematic rate & delay * Source i8042 the device sent an incorrect response following a keyboard reset I checked Device Manager, everything is updated, and it states that everything is working properly. 11 bootstart or system-start drivers failed to load. According to Microsoft this was due to an Update!! I didn't know that my computer could make such loud beeping noises. I'm glad that it stopped (for whatever reason). Thanks rridgley.
