  1. It's my favorite!!! Is there a link?
  2. Me too. It's really pretty.
  3. I love it! I don't know what LE5 Black and ObjectDock Plus means. How did you do that?
  4. LOL Simmer down no wizards taking to to your unhappy place
  5. I've never used the data CD burning wizard in XP. And I understand why you hate wizards, I just wanted to pick on you. WHY ARE YOU USING CAPS IN THE FORUM? K
  6. An exceptions option in Issues would be nice. That way you need to can through the list every time, just to uncheck the same thing. If not an exceptions option, can it simply not try to delete WMPCD - HKCR\WMPCD? It's not a big deal either way. Great Program. Thank you.
  7. product53, I need you to do a few more things really quick. Start > Run > CMD.EXE Okay now type "net start WUAUSERV" (without the quotations) Stay in command promp and now type "NET START" (without quotations) This will display your active services. You have a service stopped somewhere that needs to be started. After that you can register all of your DLL's. But first you need to be able to connect to the Microsoft's Library. I believe you're almost out of the woods.
  8. You need to type either (regsvr32 muweb.dll) or (muweb /RegServer), but not Regsvr32.exe /muweb.dll Did you get Jscript.dll and/or Vbscript.dll reregistered? I'll get back to you in a little while. Can you post your error codes? It could save some time.
  9. A few years ago I had a similar situation. Then I realized that in the Control Panel > Power Options > Advanced...the part that says "when I press the power button my my computer" it was set to do nothing. Oddly enough when I switched it to "turn off computer" I didn't need to pull the power cord any more.
  10. Maybe I didn't use burnatonce correctly because it didn't seem more convenient than XP's process. I'll check it out again, and see what I missed. Thanks K You're silly. You can disable "dreaded wizards". I personally don't worry about DVD burning. Good point about VISTA. k
  11. To burn data files you should only need to copy and/or paste the data to your CD-RW drive > Then put in a CD > click file > write to CD. You're done. I've never tried anything with DVD's.
  12. Read this thread. Then... http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=3058 Also go to Administrative Tools > Event Viewer > and locate your Error code to better troubleshoot the registry key that is probably causing your problem. K
  13. What happens if you click Start > Run > regsver32 muweb.dll ? This will register a .dll K
  14. I don't understand why WMP doesn't work. I've never had a problem with it (and I don't use a Nero Burning Plugin). I've tried all that englishman suggested, and WMP is still my favorite. K
  15. You didn't screw up royally When you open CCleaner > Windows Tab > look under Advanced > Do you have Hotfix Uninstallers checked? The Hotfix Uninstallers are there to remove your updates, and since you don't want them removed you don't need the Uninstaller files. Next open CCleaner > Issue Scanning Settings > do you have Installer checked? This should remove the installer package, not the files that were installed. The installer package isn't needed after it installs what you need. Do this to calm your fears. Return to MS Updates and reveiw your history > pick one and write it down. Then on your computer click Start > Search > Advanced > Check subfolders and hidden folders > then type the update (KBxxx) and search. It should appear in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\(update name). Once you know that it's on your computer confirm it's in your registry. Click Start > Run > regedit.exe > OK. Please don't make changes unless you know what you're doing. Okay, now press Ctrl + F and type in name of the update KBxxx... it should be located. Now you know that you're okay. Your computer is just cleaned of unnecessary crap. Enjoy your better running computer! If I overlooked any information rridgley will correct me later. K
  16. Can you put CCleaner in your exceptions list for your firewall. That would stop the prompts, what firewall do you use? I don't know the answer to your internet question. K
  17. * WMPCD is a Windows Media Player protocol that enables you to specify tracks on a compact disc using URL syntax. I will keep this. * .dmg is the file extension for the Macintosh disk image file. I don't have any idea why this is on my computer...Windows can't use this right?
  18. Save the download to your desktop. Then right click and choose Run As, and you can install it under yourself (ie password protected). That's how I do it on my OS - XP Pro SP2 Hopefull that helps. K
  19. I've found that people like to use old computers/parts for their little kids. Kids are being taught how to use computers beginning at the age of 2 so it comes in handy (and cheap). They mostly use them to play games. This seems like useless knowledge until you realize that you can make money from it. $$$
  20. There are 2 registry keys that CCleaner wants to delete, but I haven't let it because I'm not sure what these keys are exactly. * Unused File Extension: WMPCD - HKCR\WMPCD (Do I want this removed? I'm guessing that it's associated with Windows Media Player. * Unused File Extension: .dmg - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.dmg (I don't have any idea what this is, but I will do some investigating.) I also got the following error a few times, but now it seems to have stopped. I don't know why it stopped.? * Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppManagement\ARPCache\KB912919 could not be located. I don't know what I did or didn't do to cause or stop this error. Any ideas? Thank you! K
  21. Point taken. I bow to your wisdom o great one K
  22. Sell Baby!!! Unless a family member needs a part, they have first dibs. I still haven't had a used part fail on me (knock on wood). K
