I would like to upgrade my mobo. I don't plan on buying a new computer for a few more years. If I upgrade my mobo...would it still be a good idea for me to install a second HD? Thank you. K

Unfortunately according to the scan I can only add an additional 128MB. I just installed alot more memory a few months ago, and I have xtra 128MB card, but my slots are full now. Is there something that you can do so that your computer can support more RAM? The scan said that my coomputer supports up to 768MB. Would 896MB hurt it? Thanks!! K

Relax sweetie. He's just trying to help keep you safe. If you're qualified to handle a Beta version of IE - then rock on, but if not...it's better to be safe than sorry. Firefox can do that for you. How do you know how much RAM your computer will support? I've been reading posts in the form, and some people have 1GB, and another wants 2GB. I thought that I had exceeded the limit that my computer would support. But I would like to hear that I can have 1GB too. What can happen if you install too much RAM? Is there such a thing? K

First of all, this is the first forum that I've ever used, and I absolutely love it. For people like me it would be very helpful to have a more informative FAQ section. It wasn't until a few days ago that I figured out how to use "some" of the forum features. I would constantly get error messages that directed me to a Help File that never had a solution. I understand that this may not be necessary since I'm probably one the last people in existance becoming exposed to such forums. Food for thought. K

I was wondering if you could confirm a suspicion of mine. I've noticed when downloading things from Microsoft that if I 'run' instead of 'save - run' that the downloads sometimes go to the Temp folder. If a download ends up in a Temp folder would that cause problems like the one in this thread? CCleaner does clean up temp folders (right?)? Thank you! K

I completely understand. What I've currently been wanting to implicate is making registry backups before any registry cleaning. CCleaner hasn't detected any issues yet for me to test it out on. K

Only the option to run at startup. But it takes 2 seconds to click the shortcut icon on desktop before shutting down. Why did you switch back to 1.26? Did you have a problem? K

I installed XP Pro on the 12th. They are enabled with yellow(!) next to them. I tried system restore, but that didn't work. Same with last good known config. rridley posted instructions for me on how to post my snapshots in the forum. Then I'll put in the error log reports (they're really weird). My Microsoft Antivirus Beta1 deleted 3 registry keys. My best bet is that this is the culprit. Either way I'll learn more about computers through this experience. (yes I am a dork) I will try uninstalling later on tonight. Thanks! K

They just disappeared after running mal-ware/spyware/antivirus programs. Ccleaner was not the culprit. Where would they go to??? hmmmm Hiding?
