  1. Biscuits, baked to golden perfection.
  2. Not the first time in the past 15+ years that an antivirus company has been involved in some shady business. Have to say it was clever.
  3. I had a quick look around, and you are not alone with this, someone else has also reported it: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=44291 My recommendation is right-click those two registry entries, and Exclude them.
  4. Moved to the proper forum area!
  5. Rootkit.Lenova Fixable with a sledgehammer.
  6. In CCleaner: 1. Options > Settings: 2. Untick 'Automatically check for updates to CCleaner' --------------- GUI complaints go here: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=42323
  7. Make sure you backup your Firefox bookmarks first, a couple of ways to do it for later restoration: * https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer * https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them
  8. New: [OcenAudio (MRU)*] LangSecRef=3023 Detect=HKCU\Software\OcenAudio Detect2=HKLM\Software\OcenAudio Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\OcenAudio|ocen.database
  9. Ocenaudio Website: http://www.ocenaudio.com.br Supports: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux License: Freeware Description: Ocenaudio is a cross-platform, easy to use, fast and functional audio editor. It is the ideal software for people who need to edit and analyze audio files without complications. Ocenaudio also has powerful features that will please more advanced users. It's capable of opening various audio formats including FLAC, and it can also save to various audio formats. My thoughts: While Ocenaudio doesn't rival Audacity based on features alone it is however much faster at editing compared to Audacity. It also has an easy to use GUI design, something which modern versions of Audacity abandoned.
  10. Since excluding the folders didn't work it might very well be something in the registry that needs to be excluded.
  11. In CCleaner: 1. Go into: Options > Advanced 2. Untick: Hide warning messages
  12. Like so many updates of big software with a ton of features (video games included) updating to fix security holes or add new features will sometimes introduce new bugs.
  13. I had primarily used Opera when you had to pay for a license to use it (early 2000's), I was impressed enough buy a license because there was nothing around like it at the time. I was very fond of the version 4 and 5 era. I was able to use it up until a few years ago, then bugs in it forced me to switch to Firefox, etc. Might be kind of hard to ship that many deer all the way to Norway.
  14. Thanks for the update information Trium. I had just installed Firefox Portable v39.0 the other day, and already an update.
  15. I've always thought mouse-over help in it would be useful - don't see to many programs using that anymore.
  16. Make sure all Chrome processes are closed. Some extensions keep it running in the background. Also see here: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=40285
  17. The Dell I'm using is circa 2003, so it's old, plus the hard disk is too small to bother with upgrading. I'd want all new more powerful hardware anyways.
  18. You do NOT want to delete the whole "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT", that will wreak havoc on your system.
  19. Make sure you have Administrator rights on that computer giving the issue. One other thing since Registry Editor can't even delete it you may need to change the permissions on that registry data, see here: http://www.askvg.com/guide-how-to-take-ownership-permission-of-a-registry-key-in-windows/
  20. I know very well about the feature, I've been using CCleaner for 11 years. Hopefully the post login123 made will help you.
  21. If you're using Windows 10 or plan on upgrading I wouldn't even bother with the v4 anymore, go with v5 for more up-to-date compatibility.
  22. I had thought of that mta, then I got to thinking maybe it's an accessibility or universal design issue, display brightness issue, etc. Perhaps some may have difficultly seeing it, and others won't. Personally I don't have an issue with it, but obviously someone does enough to make it a valid complaint.
  23. A captcha is required to login onto the forums, or the Piriform.com site for support? I've never had to enter one here on the forums, but then again I've been a forum member years. I feel your pain because captcha in general completely suck, and are a bane on the Internet!
  24. You need to tell it which Cookies to Keep, see here: http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/ccleaner-settings/choosing-which-cookies-to-keep
  25. Good to hear that W10 is alright and better than Win8/8.1. I'll have to play with it on a suitable system within the coming weeks or months to see if I like it since my old Dell would likely cough up a part trying to run it.
