  1. See this official post, i.e.; Piriform is aware of it: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=44158&p=265544 Hazelnut linked to the on-going discussion about this issue with Edge in post 2. Since there's another topic about it I'll close this one.
  2. Since they're the correct size they may need to be muxed/re-muxed and then re-saved without re-encoding being necessary which would give them the necessary header information so that video players can play the files, know the length and properties, etc. There's various free muxing/remuxing software available such as Avidemux (no longer works on WinXP) which is where I'd start, and if it doesn't work look for something on VideoHelp.
  3. I also use it and have found this is what CCleaner can clean in it, note that other things like the virus scanning logs you posted a screenshot of are locked by Panda Free Antivirus. Even disabling the Panda Free Antivirus services will not unlock the ability to clean those using CCleaner, so you have to clean them with Panda Free Antivirus itself by using the 'Clear' button located in: Settings > General > Warnings and Reports Here's the cleaner for it, doesn't clean much though, and do note if you visit their forum needing help you should disable the below cleaner because they will likely want those logs: [Panda Free Antivirus (Other Logs)*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\Software\Panda Security Default=False Warning=Note: These are not the virus scanning logs and are completely safe to delete. FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Panda Security\Panda Devices Agent\Logs|*.* FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\Panda Security\Panda Security Protection|*.log FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\Panda Security\PSLogs|*.log
  4. Looks like and endless amount of peanut butter.
  5. It's not completely crippleware only a very small amount of advanced features are disabled which is the same for all of Piriform's software that has a Professional version available for purchase, i.e.; CCleaner, etc.
  6. Maybe a solution in a post I made: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=43116&p=266070
  7. 1. Open CCleaner. 2. In 'Cleaner > Windows' look under the 'System' area and untick/disable Start Menu Shortcuts and Desktop Shortcuts I personally only enable those two when I need them, but even then I always click Analyze first just to be safe.
  8. Not if you pay cash for everything, which I do. Edit: But in all fairness my "vacations" consist of me staying home playing video games.
  9. Have you also ran the registry cleaner? Seems cleaning the registry in Win10 is something to hold off from doing or not doing at all.
  10. Those sites they list are stated to be hardcoded and will bypass the HOSTS file. However don't forget about the ability to block them via the site blocking feature in 3rd party software firewall, antivirus with site blocking (Avast, Panda Free Antivirus), and the hardware modem which should have a site blocking feature. Reading all this negative stuff like this newest one is making Windows 10 so 100% unappealing to me to never want to upgrade. Edit: Those sites are now blocked via my hardware modem!
  11. For me it's only the flat colorless icons which are still an eyesore, when compared to CCleaner 4x where the icons in it weren't that old before they were ditched for the Win8x look. The rest of the redesign/recoloring was a very pleasant surprise when I fired up CCleaner 5.09. ----------- I just don't understand how Win8x and newer has inspired such boring looking GUI designs with uneven sized big ugly boxes/windows to activate different features with flat icons devoid of any color across so many software products. Thankfully some developers who also hate it are in the resistance and are resisting making their programs ugly as hell and difficult to use.
  12. I've never downloaded anything off there that's bundled. What users have to be careful of if not using any adblocker are the ads which may have download printed on them, so instead of downloading the software someone would want they're instead tricked into clicking an ad with the download text in it. Simple solution, use adblocking software in your browser!.
  13. I was thinking Internal CCleaner Secret.
  14. Firefox without the very small handful of extensions I use in it will equal me abandoning the browser altogether. Since Firefox is going to be even more Chrome-like as another Chrome-Clone it's probably time for people to start getting used to a Chromium/Chrome browser NOW even if only in small daily doses, because the transition for some of those who are diehard Firefox users may have a rough time trying to get used to Chromium/Chrome and its lack of customization.
  15. Just tried the DSL Reports link and I like that one, it seems accurate. It was able to test my upload speed where so many others failed at that.
  16. There's also a RunICS setting. I searched the web for both of them but couldn't find any information detailing what they're for.
  17. If you're using a licensed version of CCleaner Pro, you can get support directly from Piriform, see here: http://www.piriform.com/support
  18. If you're computer is crashing look in the Event Logs for a possible culprit, accessible by opening Event Viewer from the Administrative Tools.
  19. I went looking for a way to test my bandwidth after finding out so many sites like SpeedTest.net require Adobe Flash Player in order to function. Well I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player months ago and refuse to install again just to test my bandwidth, so I went looking around and found out about HTML5 Internet Speed Tests. I've tried several of them, some seem to work, others seem downright broken. I also found this article on TechRepublic about the subject.
  20. It's the Edge browser, which has several posts about it sometimes not being cleaned. Piriform is fully aware of the problem however.
  21. I don't know about files having those however Microsoft Update creates folders with the dollar sign which are filled with files after applying updates for Internet Explorer, Service Packs, Security Updates, etc. Some are for undoing/uninstalling a Microsoft Update that allows it should one cause issues. Perhaps try a defrag with Windows Disk Defragmenter to see if it can defrag the files/folders -- note that it may or will undo any optimizations done by Defraggler.
  22. Former Formula 1 race car driver turned IndyCar race car driver Justin Wilson has passed away due to injuries. Read here: https://www.formula1.com/content/fom-website/en/latest/headlines/2015/8/f1-community-mourns-loss-of-former-driver-wilson.html
  23. Yup! I think allot of us said the same thing last time too, although last time some did like it. I haven't really ventured onto there much at all since the changes from a year or so ago, looks like I'll still stay away. At least it isn't abysmal navigation-wise compared to Softpedia.
  24. As Trium has stated it's not. Here's an old pinned topic about it because so many people think it is.
  25. Sirius is available in my car, however I won't be subscribing to them as I already have a stupidly huge physical library of music. But what you might find extremely odd is that I very rarely listen to music when driving.
