  1. There is no difference in recovery between free and pro recuva. You may be able to open them in a software called irfranview. http://www.irfanview.com/ If they do open, then save them as a new picture
  2. Some from the list might show folder location, but I've found, more often than not, many of my files having come from what recuva shows as 'c/ ?'
  3. Ccleaner is and also has been released once per month. perhaps it just seems faster than before to you but they've not released it any slower or faster than that once per month (barring major bug which once in a lunar eclipse might necessitate an out of cycle release)
  4. if you mean the .28 update did not fix the issue, thank you for reporting, I'll try to get an answer from devs.
  5. There's an option at the beginning of the installer
  6. Nergal

    Slim version?

The non-slim provides the funds to pay for the slim. The portable also comes the day of the google-supported installer. I think the developers give plenty enough toward opt-out of google installer
  7. Add them to your ignore list. Ccleaner doesn't see them as part of norton because NAV would be vulnerable to attack if it announced that those reg files belong to it.
  8. When Firefox, or any other browser, is running the cookies database is locked from access. The only way to clean, with ccleaner, any browser is to exit the browser.
  9. Yes this is a known bug in the current version, the developers are aware of it and working on a fix. For now just uncheck compact databases.
  10. You're gonna have to be much more specific. 1st is the crash repeatable? If so please run ccleaner in debug mode (see instructions in the sticky topic at the top of the ccleaner bugs board) and provide a log 2nd what is your Windows and ccleaner version (don't say "latest" it mean nothing, provide the ccleaner version number) 3) what does this crash happen during? Registry? regular clean? Just opening it? 4)what browser do you use (firefox?)
  11. Do you have recuva pro? If not what makes these shadow copies? Are there any "failed" in your screenshot, if not what exactly are these failures, I'm not understanding.
  12. Since you have pro, you might want to jump over this user forum and get the priority support your pro license covers.
  13. This is a known bug with the recent version. The developers are aware and working to get a fix asap, so it'll be (hopefully) fixed in the next version.
  14. Did you choose custom install? Found under the blue install button it says customize
  15. Maybe both you and @mta can both post the line in your ccleaner.ini (mta your apple sync line; Olli your guianalyser) see what the differences between the two brings out.
  16. they're under "mozilla" in winapp.ini. Special key has been as far back as I can remember (other words "forever")
  17. no, unless this changed recently, firefox entries use SpecialKey for detect.
  18. Of course you could follow the first post and instead of the long mess you presented given the data requested. The devs do read all threads and inorder to recreate a bug need information
  19. When you uninstalled firefox it left behind either registry or files (check appdata). The detect in ccleaner for firefox is hidden behind a specialkey instead of the plaintext of most ccleaner entries.
  20. *couple things1 the os sees HKLM\software and Wow6432 as the same thing.2 not all portable is the same, some do leave tracks, stealth programs do not (ccleaner as example), but not all portable versions of apps are as clean
  21. Duh, sorry my bad read on it. Ignore this nothing to see here, carry on.
  22. I'd add a detectfile and point it to a file within x:\portable\mp3tag
  23. You'd have to make sure your portable drive always has the same drive letterThen edit the ini to point to the log file as it exists on your drive
  24. Buy pro, get no google. Wait 1-2 weeks after release get slim installer, no google. In other words it's very possible not to get the chrome. However, my guess is you missed something in the installer.
