  1. Try downloading the portable version and drag/drop all the contents, except portable.dat, on top of the current ccleaner (found in program files folder)
  2. Make sure ccleaner isn't running, check system tray and task manager
  3. Check that ccleaner's not running while you install (check the system tray and task manager)
  4. Are you sure it's a HDD? All googling turns up SSD for the model number you provided
  5. Such a small amount of fragmentation should be left alone. There's no such thing as 0% fragmentation, Windows becomes a messy child while you defrag (it refrags). Don't forget that over defragmenting (doing it too often) can/will kill a hard drive.
  6. Ccleaner isn't using the internet except for checking if there's a new build. It also seems obvious to me that if you have monitoring turned on, the program will start with Windows
  7. Old but maybe still works https://portableapps.com/node/34884
  8. Optimize is for SSD (Solid State Drive) defragmenting doesn't do anything on SSD. Do you have a Hard Drive or a SSD?
  9. This is usually caused by firefox not properly closing. Check your task manager for firefox.exe and plugin container.
  10. Usually that message occurs because ccleaner is open during the install. Check your system tray (the right hand corner of your taskbar).
  11. The differences are the following: save drive to virtual drive file before restore, automatic (optionally silent) updates and priority support direct from the developers. There is no difference in recovery between free and pro
  12. Does it show any error message when you attempt to update. My pro has updated perfectly.
  13. Which browsers, what do/don't you have checked off in that/those browser(s) sections in ccleaner?
  14. It's messed up because you blindly ran the registry cleaning. Always (and this isn't just win10 it applys to every windows version EVER) run registry cleaning (ccleaner or competition) with care. Read my signature for a complete explaination on this. As for a fix for the situation you got yourself into, I'll have to leave that to another forum member.
  15. Yes, you discovered your answer yourself. Session wipe will make it so previous tabs are wiped
  16. Slim build is released in the weeks following regular release. The developers have yet to put out the 5.32 slim (as of this writing)
  17. Good catch, likely a corrupted config file from the sounds of it
  18. Not seeing that, can you provide more details, such as: antivirus, and anything else we may need to know. Also check to see if ccleaner is running at the time (including monitoring) Your issue is likely different, ccleaner is still running and that's why it can't open the file. If exiting doesn't fix your issue we ask that you please start your own thread.
  19. Works fine on my win10 pro. Can you post screenshots of the ccleaner task in your task scheduler
  20. Nergal

    Fresh install

You can just download the free installers and type your registration into them, that will get you back on your feet quick enough.
  21. It looks like the task is only set for nancy. Both settings and task are user dependent. When nancy is signed in to the pc, it should skip uac
  22. Works fine for me and many others using skipuac and windows 10. Can you post screenshots of the ccleaner task in task scheduler
  23. The files in your screenshot are files that you sent to the recycle bin. when you empty the bin, Windows changes the name. Were the files you were looking for sent to the bin? If so you'll want to look at the extension (the letters/numbers following the period) and restore then go through each one.
  24. Thanks for your report, the developers read all threads, though they rarely reply. Hopefully this issue can be fixed.
