  1. If you mean you've added those locations in ccleaner as includes, then make sure you have the checkbox for includes (ccleaner windows tab, under advanced) enabled.
  2. Usually this is because the browser is open or an application that uses the windows browser (such as outlook or even quicken) is open. So that's where I'd start looking
  3. Since you have pro you can contact your priority support rep. Because this is a user forum, it might be a while before some has an idea on this
  4. Sadly that's how it works on Windows. I think of Windows as a messy child. As soon as you clean the room (defragment) s/he starts to make it messy again.
  5. Make sure ccleaner (and monitoring in taskbar) are fully exited And then try install
  6. Yes filehippo is an authorized distributor of piriform products, though I've always just direct download from piriform.com I just tried and couldn't recreate the file hippo default On a clean browser in went to http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner I get the image below. I press the green button It drops me down the page to another green button says free version Takes me to http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download I click the button for the free version (see second image) and the setup downloads from piriform.

    Days not hours

At a guess this is because "time" means Estimated time. at some point as it scans the time estimated will suddenly drop to a more manageable 4 days. At another guess (completely unrelated from the one above), second computer has more occuring in background and can't give Recuva as much juice as the first one does.
  8. Just don't use menu order cache. It has always done this as that's what the moc is afaik.
  9. Did you place a checkmark in wipefreespace (windows tab>advanced)
  10. The Eset is definitely because the google bundle and has been like that for year or more
  11. It's a false positive if you're getting the installer from piriform.com. usually, if flagged, it's a "possible unwanted program" (PUP) because there's a google bundle.

    Windows 10

Runs fine on my win10. What version ccleaner? Is your windows "insider track"
  13. You shouldn't blindly clean all reg entries. Those that come back are usually protected entries (such as for your Antivirus). Please read my signature for proper reg clean practical standards
  14. Sadly, this feature, while often asked for, would be impractical. The state of deleted files changes between scan A and Scan B on every drive; just the act of turning off a drive touches file-table and windows itself may create/write files (system information data). That said your cloning idea might work - though I say this only because the pro version of Recuva has the feature of optionally making a disc img before recovery
  15. Wait what is "chrome compatibility" why are they dumbing down customization of themes and, toolbars
  16. As of the Creator's Update this work around was no longer needed. In fact to get the tasks to run I had to set the "configure for" back to "Windows 10"
  17. As of Creator Update for Windows I'm able to reset tasks as windows 10. Arg0 seems to work again
  18. Are you trying to recover back to the original drive or are you recovering to a different drive/partition
  19. False postive, report it to bitdefender to remove in their next definition packet
  20. how do you propose they fix this. If the only way to skip uac is arg0. Again my windows 10 works, on multiple softwares, the way I describe in the sticky
  21. where are you trying to download it from? The address in your screenshot is not a piriform address.
  22. Try without the multiwipe, and see if there's a setting (like in windows) to only clean 24 hours or older.
