  1. There are, I believe, a number of steam entries that other users have made in the community winapp2 template (found stickied at the top of ccleaner discussion board)
  2. Sadly, we mods have no control over corporate things such as FAQ. However i can sticky it.
  3. .23 is bugged in regards to internet explorer. .24 coming soon should fix
  4. Ok thread verging on the political, please keep it light and non-partisan, or I'll close it for good.
  5. Honestly, I never got it either. But, if you clean judiciously, it's perfectly safe.
  6. This best advice I can give for registry cleaning is in my signature.
  7. Make sure wmi service is not disabled https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Management_Instrumentation
  8. The debugging should have produced a log, please attach it to this thread
  9. Yes the latest recuva likely need service pack 3
  10. Maybe more clear. what details do you mean, are you just talking about ccleaner's ability to detect metro apps or is the a certain section of ccleaner that you mean.
  11. Note to developers: Brave is chrome based; so, once added, it should be able to be cleaned by the chrome header. https://www.brave.com/FAQ.html Edit chrome not mozilla
  12. Highly unlikely with the time frame and number of heavy wipes you describe

    portable.dat?

The portable dat file tells ccleaner not to be able to activate certain features (such as context menu additions, and forcing settings to ini). It's empty and you can delete it but I think it's pretty useful and takes no space (it's a blank text file with dat extention)
  14. Set ccleaner to save settings in ini form from settings Point your include at a particular user's folder Open the ini in notepad Replace the include with %localappdata%\Apps\2.0 The alternative thing to do is a winapp2 entry This would insure that cleaner cleaned it for all users when you clean
  15. Through the Grapical interface you can't do variables. I believe an edit in ccleaner.ini is required for this. Else you'll need to select each user's folder in a seperate include entry Also, since you have pro, don't forget you can get an official answer through your priority support rep.
  16. Depends on the DAW. My previous goto Sony Vegas leaves behind many tempfiles even after a clean-up of my media bin.
  17. It's on the second tab (labeled "applications")
  18. Vivaldi wasn't on your initial list, had it been someone would have mentioned it must be closed.
  19. Split and Moved to Bugs. Also Google Earth may have a detected chrome which causes this best to make sure earth is also killed
  20. I'm suspecting it's the avira browser. I can't find what that is (only found avira safe browse plugin) but I wonder if it isn't chrome based. Can you, with avira killed, run an analyze (right click chrome header is applications tab) on that entry and locate the files it finds
  21. It's been requested often but the way cleaning programs do it and the way windows does it must be different because the former can break future updates while the latter does not.
  22. As far as going back to allowing with open ie, this is not possible due to changes microsoft made in ie
