  1. Ok it looks like it's deleting a cookie tied to your adblocker addon so this is what you need to do. I would add to cookies to keep list Also it says the items are removed when you run analyze but they aren't, that's been a ccleaner bug for a long time. I'd note that that I have 26 cookies ccleaner finds and Firefox doesn't show in "show cookies". It looks like they are all related to addons or firefox itself and recreate at next Firefox start
  2. I'm not sure I understand the last part of your last post. I see in your image that the cookie was removed but your claim is that the cookie, which was created in private browser which Firefox may keep in a separate place and thus (as evidenced by your description of firefox not seeing it) doesn't list it.
  3. Php (the language that builds this, and other forums) often has artifacts and bugs with various browsers, most of the time caused by setups of themes. Mostly cosmetic and ignorable.
  4. This is likely a false positive caused by the bundled google/or/dropbox/or/VyperVPN installer offers. The only case where there would be an actual worry is if you didn't get ccleaner from piriform, cnet or file hippo. Do you have AVG set to flag PuP (potentially unwanted programs).
  5. Please check the latest update to ccleaner (5.10) as the other thread has reported this fixed. Thank you
  6. Glad to hear i've marked this thread as solved and locked it, if you find this locking to be unjustified please private message me and I will unlock it.
  7. That's probably because your power settings are set to allow fast boot. This setting is kinda like this "Shut Down"= Log off then Hibernate (as opposed to shutting down all system processes then powering off)
  8. Flash, ie, edge, chrome and any other browsers are all listed in options>cookies. if you click one of the cookies in that section, of those that you question I mean, what icon is shown at the bottom of ccleaner?
  9. "Latest" tells us nothing. Please tell us the version number of the ccleaner you use
  10. Well unmax everything, only clean things from the registry you know you don't need and it's likely (just from the second advice) you won't have this issue. If you have to use the cleaning section "maxed out" you'll need to run the slow process of 1) check one item 2) run clean 3) Check steam 4) if not broken check the next item and run through 1-3 until the issue occurs. It also strikes me to confirm that you don't have a winapp2.ini file or use any ccleaner "enhancing" items.
  11. Are you running the registry section of ccleaner? Does steam use flash cookies or internet explorer dom storage? If you wait a bit, there are quite a few members who use steam including one, @Winapp2.ini who runs our user entry template thread.
  12. From my understanding of how this process works, @Augeas is correct and summed it up perfectly.
  13. I think it's even simpler than @hazelnut stated. Ccleaner just activates the uninstall process held in the registry. in the image below the unlocker unistall process (au.exe) was lauched by ccleaner but is it's own process. To the best of my knowledge the uninstaller is not a child process attached to ccleaner. If this is true, ccleaner would be unable to monitor when the uninstall is finished, thus would be unaware of when to begin the next.
  14. My problem with ClamWin used to be that it didn't have an auto-protect (always on scan); is that still the case?
  15. Just because you don't use Edge there are still parts of Windows that use it. I'd you uncheck the ie and Edge sections does it still take as long? The developers are aware of and working on an issue with browser cleaning in windows 10
  16. Thank you for your report. While the developers rarely comment on forum posts, they do read every one so they are now aware of this translation issue
  17. Try unchecking network passwords (I think it's in the windows explorer section of the first tab)
  18. Uh... looking corrupt to me, if it indeed was a text file it sure isn't anymore. Sadly, not every file is able to be recovered as the pc is constantly reusing empty space. Even if Recuva reads a file as excellent chance of recovery, if even a single fragment of the file is corrupt, the file may not be redeemed.
  19. Currently windows 10 Edge and IE browsers are being difficult to clean due to the OS locking the files for use from other applications. The developers are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. The developers rarely interact with the forum, so you are likely not to see a response from them however they read every post on the forum
  20. Ccleaner's update cycle is/has been for a years, once a month. As far as your other question, I don't understand what you mean, maybe post some screenshots or better describe the issue (include your windows version and the version number of ccleaner you currently use) I think, maybe, you don't mean files but are referring to the registry section. Can you confirm/refute that?
  21. Excessive writes to a already well worn drive will do this. Wipe free space fills the entire free space of a drive with data.. sadly it's likely that this was going to occur on your drive soon anyway, though it was as you've stated brought upon quicker by WFS.
  22. Sorry, I expanded on my answer above. Which must have occurred whilst you typed your reply
  23. Nope Edit (longer answer): I believe that is probably the size of the empty file, and while the file may no longer contain sites it wishes to suggest, the container (the dat file itself) may contain mass.
  24. That file will recreate itself (empty) after deletion. You can also turn off suggested sites in internet explorer's setting which should permanently delete the file
