Like I say, I am stuck - I can't even try to test things because Windows will not let me keep the "Recent files" list in File Explorer Quick Start at all.
And I'm not sure why Windows won't let me keep that list; but I am sure that is Windows doing that and not CCleaner.Have you checked all these settings listed here?

I don't delete Frequent Folders just all Recent Files.
Recent Files stay when I close File Explorer.
Are Recent Documents different to Recent Files do you think?
I am beginning to think that something is not right as CCleaner cleans my Recent Files if I have it ticked or unticked.
-
-
Have you anything ticked in the Advanced Section?
What type of file is being removed after a CCleaner run ?
Is the file from another drive or an unusual location? Internet URL's ?
-
Did you update over the top of the last CCleaner build?
I was wondering if a clean install might help.
Also try ticking and then unticking the Recent Documents list. (Tickboxes sometimes get 'stuck')
-
It must be some kind of setting you have. I have it unticked and custom clean doesn't delete mine.
So if you look at something does it appear in your recent files list? (before you use ccleaner)

Are you running Health Check or Custom Clean?

I need a way to uninstall the freeware version of Ccleaner.
TThanks for help Patrick Forkin.
What problem are you having with the uninstall? How are you trying to uninstall?
Which operating system are you using ?

Are you able to install the Slim Build from here? (last in list on page)

How much free space do you have on your machine now?
Are you using Windows 10?
How did you delete things to try and increase your space?
-
Did this happen when you had the previous version of CCleaner, or is it just when using the new 5.70 version?
-
Yes it's really been brought up to date now hasn't it.

I am not sure about the C+ redistributables but I am sure pdanet+ is not the reason for that problem since I already seen that program even before installing pdanet+
As I said above, I believe it is something to do with this weeks' Win Updates. I have asked CCleaner admins for more info about it.
-
Could be, but CCleaner shouldn't put it in the uninstall list, that's wrong.
Windows itself doesn't list it in Apps or the old Control Panel (programs and Features).
-
I think it may be something to do with Win Updates? It shows mine as having been installed on the 11th when I did the last lot of Win Updates.
Did you do yours today?
-
I use Windows 10 version 2004
CCleaner also shows PrintDialog in my uninstall list so I think you can stop worrying.
I will try and find out some more info about why it is there..

It's nothing to do with China. It's all about Apple using its App Store to hold a monopoly and cut out any competiton.
It is affecting millions of users of the game.
QuoteAfter its creator Epic Games implemented a workaround to duck Apple’s hefty developer fees, Fortnite has vanished from the App Store. The popular game’s disappearing act came the same day that Epic added a new direct payment option for in-game currency on mobile, offering an enticing 20% discount for players who pay the company for its virtual V-Bucks rather handing that money to intermediaries Apple or Google.
“Currently, when using Apple and Google payment options, Apple and Google collect a 30% fee, and the up to 20% price drop does not apply,” Epic wrote in a blog post introducing the new option. “If Apple or Google lower their fees on payments in the future, Epic will pass along the savings to you.”

Fortnite (Epic Games) just got banned from the App Store and Google Play because Epic wanted to bypass the 30% charge Google take off every purchase. Fortnite for Android also banned. Court cases immediately got set in motion and also Epic games offered a 20% permanent discount, see here

I think Firefox is in trouble. People are moving to other browsers because of problems the latest builds have caused.

I strongly suggest FF users read this. Especially the comments under the article... it doesn't sound good.
