  1. I must congratulate you on your thread title.. eye catching.

Piriform is now owned by Avast and has been for a couple of years now.

Yes, in today's world things don't seem to stay simple anymore, and that includes software.

If I have software on my machine that calls out etc, I just disconnect from the internet before I run it... but that's just me.

I'm sure there may be more comments to your thread.

Thanks for a good read of a well written post.

I purchased CC Cleaner on Black Friday (Dec 3rd) and the promotional offer I responded to had a $20 cash back upon registration and making claim.

The help desk is telling me, upon asking them where my coupon code is, there was no cash back offer.

Who do I contact to correct this matter and get what I signed for, this seem to be misleading and looking like a scam, if I can not get a remedy a refund is in order.

Have a read of this thread Paul

Anymore info you can give such as Anti virus used, any other security software or firewalls. Which operating version etc

Is it a clean install of CCleaner?

  5. Google translate...

On 08/26/2020, I renewed my contract with Piriform for CCcleaner Professional Plus without any problem. On Sunday, November 29, I formatted the computer. After downloading CC Cleaner Plus and its accompanying programs, I started to activate it. Copy the license directly from the page, asking for the name below. Also copy this from the page and what would be my surprise when the program does not activate because it says that the name and the license do not correspond. After trying several times, send the incident to the PIRIFORM page for these uses twice. The second of them with a file where by means of screenshots he explained the incident. Until today I have not had any kind of answer or solution and what bothers me the most is that the program expires on November 23, 2022. I feel cheated. My cleverbridge reference number: **********

  6. Look in C/Program files also C /ProgramData  and C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera for left over folders.

In regedit go to HKEY _CURRENT_USER... Software

    And                  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE...Software

@hazelnut could you check this page again  to see if you are still seeing the Trustpilot link (far left) and if it still leads to a 404?

Still leads to 404 Jenny. Is it anything to do with the default Trustpilot page which is set to USA (just guessing as I really have no idea!)
