  1. You could try making the service manual, and enabling it whenever you want to update. Run -> Services.msc
  2. CCleaner doesn't download files for you, it deletes miscellanious files on you computer that you don't need. CCleaner doesn't deleted your last downloaded file either - you have to do that manually, since CCleaner doesn't mark that as 'junk' (it's a manually downloaded file anyway).
  3. A completely clean install, meaning a format + reinstall can make a computer work like it's new (which it essentially is). RAM can make the biggest difference for those running 256MBs + Windows XP. In my opinion, defragging makes a slight, but not dramatic difference.
  4. Solid-sate drives are cool, but hard drives still have superior capacity. I myself never used all that much space, so I would be especially interested in a super-fast drive See what iRAM does to Windows in terms of boot times
  5. Another thing to consider - have you installed any new electronic devices that could cause interference? A cordless phone, a wireless router, etc.
  6. That's a nice mobo so I don't think that there's a problem with onboard sound. I did some research and it looks like the speakers become kind of scratchy above 75% volume. Try setting the speaker volume lower, while raising Windows volume and the application's volume. I'll keep looking, I haven't yet found something that relates exactly to your problem yet. Also: nForce4 Audio drivers (4.62) http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_audio_4.62_win2kxp.html nForce4 WHQL AMD mobos http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_win2k_6.86.html This one says 6.86? It came out two days ago... Did the sound work before you installed the latest drivers?

    MP3 Problem

    Samsung isn't Chinese.
  8. I'm guessing you're using onboard audio since it doesn't appear like you use a sound card. Whats the make and model of your mobo? Are you using speakers or headphones? Have you tried switching around your speakers, etc. to make sure that's not the source of your problem? Also try unplugging and replugging the wires, jiggling them around a little bit whenever the problem pops up.
  9. Poor Zidane =/ France is going to need a new team, they're all getting so old
  10. You usually don't need the stuff that CCleaner cleans (which is why they are cleaned ) However, some people like to keep them because they wish to keep their History so they can view past sites, cache so it will load faster, etc.
  11. If you messed up your registry, then yes, you can restore (Zusammenf?hren) your registry from the search (suchen) window view.
  12. This works extremely well Glad to see your problem got fixed.

  14. Article The Google founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page are modifying a Boeing 767 for their personal use. Check out this little article our local newspaper put out Hear an audio version (RealPlayer, unfortunately) here.
  15. I've used that at a mall, a year ago or so. A IR laser beam points at different spots on the keyboard and 'activtes' when the beam is broken. It's cool, and doesn't feel weird, but there is a slight delay when typing. Hopefully that was resolved in the newer version, like the one in the cell phone.
  16. This is Japanese? Come on, people. uie lyrics is kind of buggy. Use lyricsdb.

    MP3 Problem

Format means EVERYTHING is deleted and isn't quite the best form of action. I think VOICE means that you have a folder, designed for recordings by the microphone. Does your MP3 player have a mic? If so try recording something (which means a file would be written there) and check again.
  18. I never installed WGA, even though my Windows is Legit >.>
  19. On the topic of audio, I never noticed a difference between my friend's audiology and my integrated... however, it does offload some of the workload off of the CPU, which does count for something... he gets maybe 5-15 extra FPS in BF2...
  20. wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww 100mbps? I don't even get that at LAN parties... I wonder what the upload is? You could seed every file in the world and still browse the web at super-fast speeds
  21. This is fun! Kind of like the error message generator
  22. I guess so. In the near future, probably around Christmas time, I plan on upgrading my PC... S939, most likely. I doubt very much I will be getting AM2 for my next rig. Maximum PC did some benchmarks on the FX-62, and apparently, it's fast, but not exactly mind-blowing... not enough of a difference to sweep major changes in the industry. Slightly on-topic: I don't really like AM2, but this rig is still I.N.S.A.N.E. Check out those specs! Only thing I don't like the the somewhat 'wimpy' power supply.
  23. S939 is Future-Proof? Why no AM2?
