    DCOM

Try the Help and Support service; set it to automatic, then reboot. What happened when the error occured?

    Ghost car!

Wow... that is pretty weird o.0 But there is a part in the video, right before the car goes through where the it briefly goes off screen as the police car turns around. Maybe the car went through a hole in the fence while it was turning.
  3. It actually used Sony batteries... so it's Sony you should be pissed off at... SpeedFan is very useful, you can use it to set up scripts which change your fan speeds from low to high depending on your temperature.
  4. MS Defragger is fine. I didn't notice any improvement after using PerfectDisk 8
  5. System restore points are extremely valuable, both for advanced users and novices. It wouldn't make sense to put time into that feature while there are others that need to be addressed.
  6. CCleaner tends to make a lot of passes when there is a lot of data that its going to delete and/or your hard drive is busy, etc. If you've never run CCleaner before on an old computer, it can take minutes, even. Keep in mind that when you use the 'Analyze' feature, it tends to take 1.5-2 times as long to full scan.
  7. Oh, well... .thanks anyway! I tried it out, it's basically a compilation of different programs that have predefined values and everything... very authentic too, you can't tell that it's not a Mac...I have a feeling I'll be playing around with it a LOT

    CCleaner 2.0

Just out, 16x DVD burners. I would throttle it down to 8x or even 4x just to be sure of the data integrity though. The actual data doesn't get scratched, it's just a protective barrier on top of the film which stores the data. Disc fixers just polish (grind, buff, w/e) off the plastic underneath it
  9. Quintuple = 4. So I assume that his 7800GT/GTX (w/e) have 2 ports on each one, so, 2 + 2 = 4 I can and sometimes do run two, since I have 2 ports on my graphics card. But that's the maximum, since you can't really plug 2 into your graphics card and then 1 into your motherboard If you really want the monitor space, you can try the TripleHead2Go. It's a little expensive, though.
  10. WOW! Thanks for the link! About time someone made a self-contained, easy-to-use skin switcher... One question though... I'm NEVER (well, rarely) happy with out-of-the-box themes... is there much room for optimization/tweaking/customization? Plus... do you know of any others similar to that?

    Word

MSP has something to do with an update installer... have you had any problems from MS Word? You could try updating it manually... though I don't think MS Word patches really matter that much...
  13. Nice! That crop circle must have taken a LOT of work and coordination!
  14. uTorrent is actually very useful for downloading large files such as OpenOffice (there's an official torrent for it) and other files, i.e., movies such as Done The Impossible, a great fan-made documentary about the Firefly TV series and movie Serenity (which are VERY good, highly recommended) http://www.legaltorrents.com/index.htm
  15. Firefox is great and is my personal favorite browser. I've been looking into a browser called Flock, though. It's still in beta but it's pretty fast! It's based on Mozilla's code and has lots of nifty features. http://www.flock.com/
  16. I use TG a lot, the optimization guides and the forum is really good. Strange about the CCleaner error, perhaps we should contact the author? He goes on XFire from time to time
  17. It's all contained within Windows, you don't have to download anything. You must have the wrong tab open.
  18. Which graphics card do you have? ATi has different drivers for AiWs, Radeons, etc. Edit: Checked the error message: https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default...amp;folderID=27
  19. Also, if you use control + backspace, you delete by word. That's probably my personal-most-used shortcut. I also use some of the Window keys, i.e., Windows + D shows the desktop, Windows + E shows My Computer, etc.
  20. Huh. I guessed I missed it? The forums went down for a while?
  21. VLC is my favorite. I keep Winamp around for the streaming, and use WMP occasionally for sync'ing
  22. At first I thought it was a horse o.0
  23. I've done dual monitors with an nVidia FX5200 through nVidia's control panel. I'm not so experienced with ATi, however. Try clicking on the advanced button and check out the options there. Also, an your AiW should have installed a software that should allow you to control video settings, something called Catalyst Control panel or something like that? I'm sure there are options in there. Yes. If you had 2 VGA ports on the back of your card then there shouldn't be any reason why it can't support 2 monitors.
