  1. I think that a CPU is that consumes about 7x more power than most processors and may last only 2-3 years is not cost efficient to begin with.
  2. Try just highlighting the entry and then pressing delete. Other than that the only other way I think you can delete it is by erasing either the cache or history.
  3. Wow. Thanks GCNbball8 for translating x_x Do you people actually read your posts? Can't you please write in clear english if you want help? Try getting the latest drivers from nVidia and see if that helps.
  4. Yeah, unfortunately it'd be pretty much impossible for CCleaner to determine which sites you would want or not.
  5. Visit Crucial, as MP_Handler said. Or, you can always bring your laptop into your local computer store, like Fry's. I'm sure most technicians there would at least help you point it out. Check out your laptop manual, too.
  6. Yup. A good mouse pad can make a good difference if you're a uber-l337 hard core FPS player. What do I pair my G7 with? Paper.
  7. What operating system? You might want to check this out... http://arstechnica.com/journals/microsoft.ars/2006/5/11/3934

    Scroogle?

It's not as fast as Google itself (which makes sense, it's going through a proxy.) Plus I don't really mind the advertisements on the right, it's easy to ignore. Google is also more efficient at displaying information. But the ability to prevent Google from looking over your shoulder is interesting.
  9. next time you do, run it a few times in the same session. They probably keep popping back because they're still in use or something. It happens to most people, just run the cleaner 2-3 (maybe even 4-5) times and it'll delete. Just make sure to keep a backup.
  10. I appear to be having the same problem as you, CCleaner doesn't remove previous inputted entries from the Run menu. That's what you were talking about right?
  11. WinDirStat This program is super-useful for finding out what exactly is taking so much space on your hard drive. It can sometimes take a long time to scan your computer, but it works really well regardless. It also lets you visually see your hard drive. Here's mine: Basically look for all the big stuff My movies folder is shown highlighted in the upper right. The big blue below that is a DVD image backup for Oblivion (4.3 gigs.) The lime green ones are back-ups for Counter-Strike (I'm thinking about getting rid of them.) The light blue at the bottom right is the page file, and I didn't check what the other things were. It can also display free space, too, but about half my hard drive is empty so it would be a waste. It also needs to redraw every time you resize a window, but it's super fast and isn't much of a problem. Check it out, tell us what you think.
  12. Well, they said they needed water cooling (recommended) past 4 ghz... I was looking at the article a few weeks ago and decided to check out the forums, some guys there pointed that out.
  13. Check under your My Computer. Right-Click My computer and go to Properties. If all else fails you can go and download CPU-Z http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
  14. The only thing good about vista is Direct Hardware Rendering. Everything else sucks.
  15. Each guy pays $9. The bellhop has $2. Difference $9 x 3 = $27 - $2 = $25 The hotel clerk has $25. 3 x $1 = 3, 1 x $2 = 2 2+3+25 = $30.
  16. Actually, they have. That chip consumes 260W of power at IDLE.

    ouch

If I google myself I only come up with myself, lol.
  18. Haha.. The Carnival is kind of an old one... but it still gets people every time! The answer is too obvious for most people. No scales in the floors, remote super-duper satellite weight-detecting algorithms, just a simple answer that's right under your nose
  19. No idea. They don't tell you the answers. I guess if they send me some random game in a week I'll know
  20. This neat little quiz is from XFire. See what you get 1. What does this program print, and why? float x = 0.9;if (x == 0.9)printf("Sanity prevails");elseprintf("HUH?"); A. "Sanity prevails" because it comes first in the list B. "Sanity prevails" because x = 0.9 C. "HUH?" because floating point numbers are stored in binary and 0.9 cannot be represented exactly D. The program crashes before printing anything 2. Which C++ feature made the STL possible? A. classes B. templates C. references D. namespaces 3. Which is faster: insertion sort or quick sort? A. insertion sort B. quick sort C. they're the same speed D. it depends on the size of the data set
  21. www.oldversion.com And that's talking about the Buddy Profiles that have the mini-web pages inside of them. You can always get GAIM.
  22. Not necessarily. Faster components = more power consumption and greater heat. And I'm pretty sure that these cards are Vista Ready.
