[Adobe Photoshop *] was an amalgamation of several older Photoshop entries: CS1,CS2, CS3, etc. during the last refactor.  I use this one with Photoshop CS2 and haven't had any issues.  Could you please explain the "dangerous" a little?  I can't comment on the other entries as I don't have any of the other programs.  If it is something that causes problems for others, then I'll add this entry to my custom.ini.

One of the entries was deleting actual projects.

I wonder why we have ExcludeKey in the entry listed below. This is for File Explorer Jump Lists. Almost every known privacy cleaning program has cleaning rules for this. Removing Explorer Jump Lists does not actually remove any of the programs from Explorer, same like the other jump lists.

I think we should list entries according to the Windows folders order and Windows Registry hives order.

%ProgramFiles%
%CommonProgramFiles%
%CommonAppData%
%UserProfile%
%LocalAppData%\
%AppData%\
%WinDir%

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKEY_USERS

I was wrong. Installation traces logged into BAM Service are not being removed on system restart as I suspected before. We should come up with a way to remove these traces while keeping other Registry keys intact in that location. The problem is that user key in this location is different on each system.

You removed this FileKey 3 weeks ago! Now it's safe again?!

Please don't take it personally, but you change your mind very often. Please test your modifications a little bit longer before posting them. No need to hurry. And please use the latest winapp2.ini as template, because many of your revised entries are not correctly sorted. Thank you very much!

Because this protects user made changes to "Quick access". If you remove this file then "Quick access" shows the default entries again.

What's wrong with the alphabetical order? IMHO there's no advantage. But for that it would causes very much work!

It seems that the removed entries are just outdated. Maybe we can add them to the "Removed entries.ini" file?

Correct, FileKey1 and 2 should be removed from [Adobe Premiere Pro *]! Strange that someone wants to remove his project files?!

Removing files from that location removed login information of Windows Insider account on a Windows 10 Insider Preview (build 17083.1000), which I have reported.
Otherwise, it is recommended to empty this cache and I tested this on a Windows 10 (build 16299.192), no issues. I just forgot to mention this in that post.

I should not have reported the Windows Insider account issue here since it was with a preview build.

I always use the latest Winapp2.ini file. I have put those entries in order, that is why the order is changed.

I am not asking to change the sort order of all the entries that are already there, but at least from now on we can keep the order. This way, it is easy to locate the location or path when modifying an entry with lots of Filekeys or RegKeys.

Thanks for your clarification. Ok, but changing the sort order of new entries will break WinappDebug/Winapp2ool. I personally prefer alphabetical order, but let’s wait for other comments.

These are just change logs from stuff I updated from here, stuff I merged via PRs, and stuff I fixed with Winapp2ool. PRs get merged separately and I usually use Winapp2ool lastly. It's also another way of letting users know that Winapp2 was updated so they can download the latest file.

It appears to me that Corel VideoStudio Pro meets the criteria of the Multimedia category.  I lean toward photo/picture editing also being Multimedia as well.

  • Multimedia - These programs are video players and editors, or video helper programs for Web browsers.

Then I think we should change the LagSecRefs of Adobe, CyberLink, FastStone and other similar products.

Yes, I do believe that there are some interpretation inconsistencies/unclear in which category some of these modules properly fall into.  Whatever the "group" decides is okay by me.
