Winapp2.ini
Here's some I've never submitted before in TwistedMetal's winapp2.ini, and since this winapp2.ini is very active I'll submit them here. You can put the asterisk in the program header/name wherever you wish so it's not seen as a default app cleaned by CCleaner. [NVIDIA (Play On My TV)] ; Removes the NVIDIA "Play On My TV" shell extension for .AVI, .MPG, .MPEG, and .WMV ; video files. The shell extension isn't necessary if you don't output to a TV! Noedels
Hello, I just installed the most recent winapp2.ini. Thanks for that. I am just curious, what the difference is of "UltraISO 5, 6,7,8 and 9". I could only find version 9.3.6.275O, whitch is registered as /5. Further, is it maybe possible to add the following entry's in the next release of the winapp2.ini. Moderators Nergal Posted November 30, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2010 Can someone, PLEASE, create an Entry for cleaning the following index.dat files? The Following in your list are already cleaned Index.dat Checkbox %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\PrivacIE\index.dat %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\PrivacIE\Low\index.dat %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\IECompatCache\Low\index.dat %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\IETldCache\Low\index.dat History Checkbox %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\History\Low\History.IE5\index.dat %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\IEDownloadHistory\index.dat maybe others too, I'm sure, but most of my Serviceprofile indexes were empty and would be useless (maybe harmful: unknown) to delete as the would just regenerate. Most of them hadn't even been touched since my install of windows (esp the system\config) and all of the serviceprofiles and system\config required my editing of file permissions to even view them. I almost feel like you just told windows to find anything called index.dat ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moonbase
I suggest updating the [DVDCSS*] section as follows: [DVDCSS*] LangSecRef=3023 DetectFile=%APPDATA%\dvdcss\. Default=False FileKey1=%APPDATA%\dvdcss|*.*|REMOVESELF FileKey2=%USERPROFILE%\.dvdcss|*.*|REMOVESELF Reasons: Not only VLC media player but also xine-based players and MPlayer use the libdvdcss library. So it might be safer to check for the folder "dvdcss" itself, instead for VLC. The folder "%USERPROFILE%\.dvdcss" isn?t cleaned using the existing version. John-D
Tirminal is a free file transfer application that uses their servers to sync the transfer process. The application creates ZIP files and leaves these in its AppData directory consuming a lot of disk space. This is the Winapp2 entry I created to delete these files: [Tirminal] LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\Tirminal Default=False FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\Tirminal|*.zip I would appreciate it if this were added to the official Winapp2 file.
