The Eraser 5.5 Rules:

[Eraser (Log)*]

LangSecRef=3024

Detect=HKCU\Software\Heidi Computers Ltd\Eraser\5.5

Default=False

FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Eraser|schedlog.txt

FileKey2=%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Eraser|schedlog.txt

are No Longer Valid for the Eraser 6!

For example,

instead of the HKCU\Software\Heidi Computers Ltd\Eraser\5.5 ,

there is HKCU\Software\Eraser\Eraser 6\

Can someone, PLEASE, write NEW Rules for Eraser 6?

[NVIDIA (Play On My TV)]

RegKey5=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\mpegfile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\NvPlayOnMyTV
RegKey6=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\WMVFile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\NvPlayOnMyTV

The only change is that all instances of "PlayOnMyTV" become "NvPlayOnMyTV". I'm not sure if the former key name is found on other systems with older ForceWare drivers or not, as I have not done further investigation.

The older key is required for older versions of the NVIDIA software, therefore the keys you've found would need to be an addition instead of completely removing the older keys, i.e.; just like this:

Thank you VERY much for your hard work Winapp2. I will do my best to look over it and suggest anything that I can.

One random thought:

Have you considered making this a project on GitHub or SourceForge or some other open-source project source host? This could bring a few benefits:

- You would have version control. Users would be directed to download the latest copy by default. Assuming you'd be interested, you could also release test versions, which would include new entries that you can't test locally (lack of owning the software or whatnot) that you could ask to be tested before release.

- Track updates easily. Particularly helpful if a new method of entries is used, such as wildcards or OS detection, that could then be noted as such and subsequently applied to other applicable entries. Also helpful to remember if/why an entry was removed or changed.

- Users could very easily submit suggested changes/additions by simply editing the file and uploading the changes. The source control system would then allow you to easily see the suggestions, and modify the versions as needed with little difficulty.

- Could consider, if you were so inclined, creating a simple Java program (or whatever language you're comfortable with) to assist in automatically updating the Winapp2.ini file for anyone that would like to do that.

Just an idea. Thanks again for everything. Please let me know if there's anything that I can do to help. :)

Thank you for the additions, just a few things to note for the future:

Section= is not needed, just LangSecRef

the ' " ' at the end of some of the entries may break them (I don't know)

As a general rule, I try to separate things into individual options such as Teeworld ALL being inclusive of 4 different things, some may want the demos but not the screen shots, for example.

Again, thank you for your submissions, they'll be in the next version :)

I'm really happy to announce this update.

I've finally resolved this issue (I don't know how many people have seen it)

http://ompldr.org/vNXpiZQ

Note here that because of the multiple same paths for compatibility, the "analyze" results are incorrect (as the same files are detected twice)

This did not affect "Clean" because the files were gone and couldn't be cleaned twice.

HOWEVER, I have fixed this (see here -> http://ompldr.org/vNXpiZg )

This version (along with a bunch of new entries and revised entries) deals mainly with this issue, which was easily corrected by making any instance of 2 identical paths (but not identically written) the same filekey number.

Other than that, a bunch of revisions involving the path %allusersappdata% have been made for compatibly reasons, as many were written improperly, or just not compatible with all three systems this file is designed for.

This will be copied to the first post as usual, heres the file! :)

Yeah thanks back_track. :) Did you test them?

Now if i can only get JV16 Power Tools and Ultra ISO updated. :)B)

I noticed that entry is malformed, is this better, or completely wrong?

It says the version is 5 in the Winapp2.ini. UltraISO is on version 9.

I saw the JV16 power Tools in the Winapp2.ini also, but the currant version of JV16 power Tools is 2010, not 2009.

FileKey10=%windir%\system32\config|software.bak_jv16pt

FileKey11=%windir%\system32\config|system.bak_jv16pt

The program files directory is right, just can locate those files. Is it because i dont have vista or windows 7 or some feature of jv16 im not using?

JFI, you can do this deletion within jv16 PT. Just open jv16, in the top menu go to Tools>Maintenance Program and select "Remove Registry Compactor Backups". It will locate all the registry compact backup files, display them and ask you if you want to delete them. These files vary based on Windows OS and what needs to be compacted.
